I landed and had arranged a taxi pick up through Bon Bon - it wasn't there when I landed but eventually came. Check in was slightly odd as the 'boy"working the desk lied very young and spoke 0/no English. However, he then came back to my room and said "I've paid for your cab' .... the free cab which the hotel arranged. I asked he stick it on the bill.||||I was in a wooden looking bungalow out the back but most of the place appeared 2 storey.||||THE BED.||Wow - ROCK HARD.||I have never sat on such a hard bed.||The sheet was filthy and the top cover was very thin.||||The room had a fridge / AC / A TV but I didn't tun this on. Storage was sufficient (Was solo in the room).||||Bins were not changed daily.||Coffee sachets were not replaced daily. There was a kettle in the room.||||The bathroom was DIRTY. Really dirty.||There was an empty soap bottle by the sink - when I trashed this they didn't replace the soap. The loo roll was small and thin and I had to ask for replacements. Next doors shower water appeared to come in to my bathroom when they showered. My shower didn't drain well either. Bugs a plenty hanging in the bathroom. Towels were tissue thin but changed daily.||||Location - ||I was happy with the location.||Close to the beach / local restaurants / massage places.||||On check out - they wanted to charge me.||This had been pre paid by my travel companion.||Google translate used throughout (which made no sense).||Should you really need help - the lack of basic English here would be concerning.||||No pool - this would have been handy as the sea has some kind of lice that bits - they live off human excrement pumped in to the water from the hotels apparently. ||||One night I woke in the night to my door and window being open - I went to bed with them closed. Read moreWe booked Bon Bon bungalows for five nights as an add on to a 10 day tour of Vietnam as we wanted some rest by a beach. It could not been more perfect. Room was spacious (we did book bungalow size room which is 2 double beds) fridge, kettle, air conditioning and fan, free bottle of water each day. Our room was spotlessly clean, with a nice sitting area outside. Lovely small gardens running along side of rooms provides privacy. Very quiet as everything closes by 10 and no mopeds running around. Five minutes from beach, local restaurants and a bakery opposite selling hot croissants for breakfast. This is not a luxury resort, which adds to its charm....
