Phuong Binh House - A Peaceful Place is a cozy, westernised setting for those who are into healthy living: for calm, chilled out, sporty early birds. It is situated in the very best part of Long Beach for running and swimming. The guest house is owned by a very hardworking and truly friendly local family whom you can trust your safety. A private beach is super clean. The pool is huge, with underwater jets and lots of shade in midday. Parasols and sunbeds are all recently renewed. All rooms have large balconies where you can enjoy your privacy and top up your tan. Rooms are spacious, with high ceilings and beautiful wooden furniture, with daily complimentary water and tea. Two storey restaurant serves you delicious, healthy, fresh food and drinks from 7 a.m. to 10 p.m. - a famous, beachfront place on Phu Quoc for decades. No loud music, fortunately. Some people may not understand that Phuong Binh House is one of the more authentic housing experiences in Vietnam—which makes it unique! I enjoyed my time here. Rooms were simplistic and clean with a working fridge and air conditioner. The shower is in the same room as the toilet and sink but we did not find that to be a big deal at all. The hotel also has its own restaurant with very very reasonable prices and good food and drinks. Not to mention, the pool is a great temperature and the ocean is within a 30 second walk 😅. I also got a 30 minute massage on the beach for $6 USD right outside of this place and it was amazing. Housekeeping made sure to give us clean towels and fresh water bottles each day. Motor bikes are available for rent here as well. Ultimately is you are used to staying at 5-star hotels, this hotel may be a little different than what you’re used to but I really enjoyed my time here. We absolutely loved our stay at Phuong Binh House. If you are looking for five-star luxury, this isn't it—but if you want incredible value, a simple, cozy bungalow, and a prime beachfront location where you can fall asleep to the sound of the waves, this place is perfect. It's a relaxed, classic Phu Quoc spot that feels miles away from the big, noisy resorts.

To get the full contrast, we booked the food tour with Moto Nomad Phu Quoc. While Phuong Binh provides the perfect calm retreat, the Moto Nomad tour provides the excitement! Being zipped around by their friendly guides on motorbikes to hidden local eateries was an exhilarating way to see the island. We tasted authentic dishes and saw parts of Phu Quoc the average tourist misses.
