Kim Lien Phu Quoc Guesthouse — Hotel in Phú Quốc

The price was right for us at this guesthouse as we are backpacking and therefore do not have the budget to stay in some of the larger resorts on the beach. Having said that, we feel like the location was fantastic. We were situated right behind Rory's bar which meant a 2 minute walk through the establishment to get to the water. The other major upside to the location is that there is a public beach area right beside the restaurants frontage. There is something to be said for this as public beach space seems to be virtually non existent unless you want to pay a resort for a lounger on their property. I looked hard and this seems to be the best value for the money within walking distance of the beach. Only about 100 m down a paved road to Rory's bar and beach can be accessed there. Rory's is an excellent beach bar and loungers and beach chairs are available for customers. Otherwise the beach is public by law so don't believe anyone telling you the beach in front of their resort is private unless it's 50 m from the water. ||The hotel is well run by a very nice family who do their best to look after you. They have either A/C or fan bungalows that are very quiet, peaceful and safe. During my visit some Russian tourists with kids found that their kids almost became part of the owners family they were so well accepted. I recommend this hotel, here is why! The landlady is very friendly and will do everything to help and inform you. My room was spotless, spacious with closet, desk, TV and cable, fridge, kettle, very comfortable and clean bedding, towels thick and new toilets, the modern bathroom with walk-in shower. Large balcony with a small table and stools, view of the sea (a small flower decoration would be a plus). There is an elevator to go upstairs. Soon, there will be a restaurant. The hotel is well located, away from the main road and 3 minutes from the beach and bars. The prices are correct compared to other accommodation in the same sector.
