This place is very comfortable with peaceful detached bungalows, great beds and showers. The staff work very hard to keep everything beautiful and clean and the location is excellent. There’s even a wonderful man on the beach who rakes the sand, removes trash and another who puts the loungers out for you, wherever you want. The bar is reasonable and efficient. The only thing that lets this place down is the breakfast 🥲 On the surface it seems fine but the fruit is often poor, there’s a rubbish choice of cereal but a big focus on several hot dishes or meat with fried rice. pho, salad with chicken nuggets. Pate etc. it’s a great shame as I think their FB manager just needs to rethink the offer. This is our 10th hotel this month and probably in our top 3 but for the breakfast. In my opinion, they should add some sliced cheese, a better selection of bread and fruit, cereal and yoghurt and lose some of the more odd items. I have tried Pho in many hotels and appreciate we need some local options but salad and chicken nuggets?! 🤷🏼♀️
I should also say the aircon in our detached beach bungalow was perfect and we slept so well worth no noise from animals or bars nearby. The WiFi is also really good even laying on your lounger by the beach 👌🏻
But it’s a fab hotel for location, service and comfort and we will return. But would...
Read moreWe had the pleasure of staying at Sea Star Resort in Phu Quoc for two days, and it exceeded our expectations in every way.
After reading positive reviews online, we decided to book our stay here. The resort's location was convenient, with easy access to restaurants and cafes. The rooms were impeccably clean and provided a comfortable retreat after a day of exploration.
What truly made our stay remarkable was the exceptional service provided by the staff. They were incredibly friendly and went out of their way to ensure we had a memorable experience. They arranged a fantastic day tour to three islands and recommended visiting Sunset World for breathtaking sunset views, which indeed made our evenings unforgettable.
The breakfast at the resort was delightful, offering a variety of options to suit every palate. The service at the restaurant was also commendable, ensuring we felt well taken care of throughout our meals.
One of the highlights of our stay was witnessing the sunset from the resort's beach on the second day. It was a moment we'll cherish forever.
Overall, our experience at Sea Star Resort made our time in Phu Quoc truly special. We wholeheartedly recommend this resort to anyone planning a visit...
Read moreIt's all about location. The beach is super. The bungalows are old and completely worn out. Water pressure is good but showerhead is old and fixed on the wall. The bed is old as well, you could feel the springs in the matrass. The airconditioning was working fine. Housekeeping is very bad. Rooms are quickly swept with a worn out broom. After 3 days complained at reception. Only after returning for a second time with written complaints, translated into Vietnamese, housekeeping was a little better. Still every day at least 1 item/task was missed or left out. Reception staff, security and gardeners were all very friendly and hospitable. Housekeeping stayed hostile, unfriendly and kept showing lack of respect for guests. The restaurant for breakfast was way too hot. No food was displayed or stored cooled. Flies everywhere and only 1 very old, hardly working, worn out fan for the entire restaurant. Highly unhygienic. All the bread looked like it had sprinkled something on it, but they were tiny flies. Only come here to enjoy the beach and expect nothing more. We would never return the resort does not even deserve 1 star by Vietnamese standard. Booking.com should be ashamed to sell and advertise for any room...
