UPDATE 2025: Came back to Vung Tau recently for a longer stay and there is a new manager, new staff…and standards are just as high as they were two years ago. We booked a bigger room this time and it was lovely. Front desk staff is phenomenal: helpful, fun, friendly. Thomas, the new manager, is an old school hotelier: seemingly everywhere at once without being obtrusive. A pro’s pro. Breakfast still excellent and there’s now a convenient store next door with direct access through the lobby. We will be back!

2022: Without a doubt, not only the best property we stayed at on our recent 2 week trip through Viet Nam and Thailand, but definitely one of the best hotel experiences I've had in Southeast Asia. The property is new, clean and stylish, a sort of modern take on 1930s French design. The breakfast was incredible at any room price point, much less this very reasonable cost. We had the buffet and the a la carte and both were creative with plentiful choices and delicious. From check in through to check out, the staff were friendly, helpful and just plain good at making us feel welcome. While all staff were great, in particular the Front Manager, Ms. Van, was exceptional. Her English is excellent and her professional and warm demeanor is the essence of southern Vietnamese hospitality. She made sure everything was right during our trip and that we felt at home in Vung Tau. The hotel is in the middle of a local neighborhood yet also easily walkable to a Circle K, Western pubs and all varieties of Vietnamese restaurants, ca phe shops, street food & shops. Of course, it is also steps away from the waterfront of Bai Truoc/Front Beach. I've loved Vung Tau since the first time I came here over 20 years ago...and now we love...

Edited: 08/14/2025 New manager really slashed everything that made this place great. Price stayed the same, but they removed the lotion, English breakfast - actually all ala carte options , conditioner, multiple towel service. Place used to be a great value for a luxury boutique hotel- now it’s just average.

5 stars on google is not surprising . It’s my favorite hotel in Vung tau. The front desk customer service is some of the best you’ll find in Vietnam . Always eager to help and they just have the most lovely smile and aura.

The new manager(Thanh) is gonna bring them to at least 4 stars and hopefully 5 I’d recommend you to stay in the rooms for a few hours to see what you can improve from that view point.

Some of my suggestions :

  1. the shower head gun should always point against the wall that way when a new guest comes in and the shower. It doesn’t shoot them with cold water. 2)toilet paper rolls should be restocked in under pulling not over - over conserves toilet paper bc it rips every 3 pieces but is very annoying to guests
  2. in the breakfast by the egg bar - please keep the sauces in the same place . First day soy sauce was in 1st column closest to the customer and then the next day it was fish sauce . For guests who are older and not Vietnamese I would accidentally put fish sauce on the second day bc you moved location . Don’t move the location or please label the sauces so it’s easier to use the...

Good enough

Staff very respectful and will assist you any time especially Anh Quôc. Not the best breakfast but it was ok. Hotel located close to front beach. GS25 shop are in the same building, In the reception there is a door to the GS25 shop. We only stayed one day in this hotel and the only problem we had was the sink, the water was not draining fast enough due to dirt in the pipes that came up when I washed my hands. if I have to find something else to complain about, the toilet paper was not the best, they broke every time I tried to remove a piece. Missing some stuff in the minibar that we mention to the staff (only so they don't charge us)

what I also didn't like was that they asked me to write a good review on the site I booked the hotel on while they were checking the rooms at check-out, which makes you feel a little forced to leave a good review. i said i would write the review in the car because our driver to saigon was waiting for us.

the conclusion. it is a good and reasonably priced hotel. Would I recommend this to anyone? Yes. would I return to this hotel if I visit Vung Tau in the future? Yes.

I didn't write this review because they...

A nice and cozy 3-star hotel that is only a few minutes of walk to the beach and many restaurants. The interior design is inspired by the European architecture and helps to exude a luxury feel when you first enter the premise. I paid for the superior room with window and city view but was disappointed by the by poor view obstructed by buildings and tight space (15m2, smaller than the standard room with 20m2). The lights are also quite dimmed, so some people may find it difficult to read or work if they need to. Furthermore, my room has a small opening on the door, which means it isn’t soundproof. I can hear everyone’s in the hall and I reckon they can hear me as well, so privacy isn’t a strong suit for this hotel. They also have a pool for their guest which open until 7 pm. You can request them to turn on the light if you would like to use the pool after 7 pm. If you come to this establishment by motorbikes then you can park right in front of the hotel and the security will take care of the rest for you. I saw that they were very delicate with my bike and even have some sheet to cover the bike from the heat.
