Bed Bath N' Table Rundle Mall — Local services in Adelaide

My experience with this store’s been horrible. We went into store looking for a topper, found one on the stock but realised there was a broken handle on the packaging. We immediately got told off for bringing the product out (from the shelf) without asking the staff (again I don’t understand why I can’t).

We questioned why and asked if we can return it if we have a problem (and asked if we can get a receipt).

This person in store (Belinda) called us ‘rude’ because she doesn’t sell a stained product in that store and we asked about return policy.

I don’t think every customers should be treated ‘king’ but you can’t call customers rude when we did nothing but simply asked about a policy the company has.

I hope this person doesn’t treat customers this way in the future. I understand you could have been under stress but what you displayed was definitely not acceptable.

Note: They used to be in the DJ downstairs but have been in the Myer Centre GF for quite a while. Located to the right of the Myer entrance on GF, by the lifts/escalators going up (Realised this by going to DJ as per someone else’s old front store photo on Google Maps, and not finding the store 😂)

As an updated note on staff and customer service (March 2024), I do know the service in these places can seem a little judgemental if you’re not in your 30s+, but I was served by a younger employee, who was very attentive, was competently able to answer my technical questions about products and provide recommendations. I have never shopped here before but today I was walking past when something caught my eye so I walked in and started browsing these little bunny toys, everything was well untill I was approached by an extremely rude employee. She came over and asked if I needed help( obviously I didn’t if I was looking at stuffed toys) I struggled to hear her because my headphones were in so I said pardon and she literally SCREAMED at me in the rudest tone ever!
