I shopped here ever since i moved to north adelaide, but thanks to Bob, the store manager, it will be the last place I'll shop.

I bought a c type cable couple of months ago when i was grocery shopping. It had 2 year warranty so i thought it should be fine. But it worked for 2 or 3 weeks and stopped charging. I dont usually take receipts during grocery shopping so i realised i didnt take one when i bought this. When i went next to store, i mentioned it to the staff member and she said bring it in tomorrow, and I'll check with store manager. I couldn't go the next day but went another weekend with the cable. After waiting 20 mins bcoz store was busy, the staff member called Bob. When he came out to checkout, he spent all of 30 seconds, not to resolve the issue but to get me out of the store.

First he took the box, opened it and tried telling me loudly that the cable was twisted and that was why it wasn't working (picture is when I took it for return). And then he asked me to recall date and time when I bought it (not sure how many people recall dates when they buy groceries), and maybe look at my bank records. When I said I could do that immediately and started opening the bank app, he asks me to step outside of the store and says "look, I am sick, I shouldn't be here. I am trying to stay away from the staff" and ushers me to leave...if you can imagine how all that happened in 30 seconds, that's how keen Bob was to be rid of me.

Bob, one, if you are sick, don't come to work. Specially in current times. And you took the box, opened it, and handed it back to me, before telling me you were sick. Your staff aren't the only people you should be staying away from when you are sick. Two , if you don't take returns without receipts, make it a store policy, I wouldn't have bothered coming, waste my time and have you embarrass me in front of a busy store. This whole thing of store manager deciding after seeing the person reeks of bias, which I am sure it was. Three, don't stock substandard items, and if you do, don't treat customers like garbage when they try to return a faulty product.

Thanks...

'Usually' this supermarket is pretty reasonable to move about. They have a great range of products. With the current climate of CoVid19 restrictions, they seem to have worked well, with handgel, wipes and QR code check ins.

'Usually' their check out crew at the check out tills are ok. Generally polite, and sometimes even helpful, esp for food products that might leak, by offering bags to wrap them.

Today was served by a mature aged lady, with long white/grey hair, who seemed to have a 'melt down' whilst trying to bag my groceries. She made several vocal attempts to call on the PA system for someone to 'help' her with bagging my groceries. I was left slightly bemused considering, it wasn't a large grocery trip, and my bags were neatly folded and ready to use.

This Lady made the whole event unnecessarily stressful and I came away thinking... perhaps I'll deliberately avoid her next time at the till. It was a really negative/ passive aggressive vibe. It was really unnecessary. Unfortunately, in the middle of having your groceries done you're not expected to say 'excuse me, but it's obvious you're not happy doing this, is there someone else to relieve you?'

Id like to Use this supermarket again. Its close by, but I think Im going to be a bit choosey next time and avoid...

This place is by far outstanding compare to Drakes in Collinswood. Worth the drive. Great selection of good quality foods. I like the good quality wide selection of chicken, bread & cheeses. Today Monday 19/12/22 @ 4pm. I got to one of the main tills. A beautiful young lady served me, she said she & her Mum were born here & her Dad was from Scotland. Outstanding service. She asked me if I had a romeo's card. I don’t ever remember having one or being asked before. She checked my number & I was on record. She made sure that I got a new card & that it was working. She was so incredibly helpful. She had a gorgeous smile with a personality to match. Could you please thank her. One of the best beautiful service I have ever had. I was already having a bright day & she made it even...

Poor stock rotation, wife purchased a product from the fridge section but product was out of date which poses a heightened risk during pregnancy. I didn't complain however upon returning a few weeks later the same issue occured again with another out of date product on the shelf, this time i reported to management and did not purchase, 12 months later and still finding out of date products in the fridge section.

This is one of, if not the worst Foodland in Adelaide. Terrible lighting, overpriced produce and underwhelming meat and deli offerings. Make triple sure to check useby dates because they leave them on the shelves. Also in an incredibly dreary shopping centre in desperate need of a makeover. No love from that landlord that's for sure.
