Fascinating museum housed in a beautiful old church building, just behind the Mile End Office Furniture store. The entrance is from the carpark side and can be a bit hard to spot, so look for the sign. The crew that run the museum are the same that offer Great White shark cage dives from Port Lincoln, so they really know their stuff. The displays include a range of shark paraphernalia; props used in the Jaws movie, real preserved shark jaws (and even a fossilised shark poo!), diving equipment, experimental shark deterrents, a shark cage and treasures from ship wrecks. Knowledgeable volunteers bring the exhibits to life with stories and explanations, and one of the guides is a gorgeous cattle dog called Blue. Highly recommend for anyone with an interest in sharks (like me!), and would also be a great activity for curious kids. Book ahead if you can, the museum is only open for a few hours...
