Merthyr Village Shopping Centre — Local services in Brisbane City

An awesome little shopping complex, with super friendly staff throughout.

A special little mention goes to 2 people in particular who work there, who have treated my baby girl Phoenix (Dutch Shepherd) & myself with respect, care & compassion, making us feel very welcome whenever we shop there, while we've been going through a tough patch & living rough on the streets for well over a year now.

First of all I would like to say, Shayda from Perrotts Florist is one of the most kind hearted individuals who I have had the pleasure of meeting. Shayda gives Phoenix treats every day she is working & has bought me coffee, breakfast & lunch on many different occasions & has even gone as far as buying a backpack for me in my time of need. A most beautiful, kind & caring person with a heart of gold. God bless you Shayda & thankyou from the bottom of my heart for your compassion & generosity. 🙏

Rob, a part-time security guard who also works at Merthyr Village, is a top bloke also, who goes out of his way to have a chat with me & pat Phoenix everytime he sees us & also makes us feel very welcome, which actually makes me feel human again, especially with all the negativity I seem to get from quite a few different people on a daily basis. He has even offered me some welding work at his own home, to help me out & put a little extra ca$h in my pocket. Cheers Rob, very much appreciated mate. 🙏

Great little meeting place in Newfarm to enjoy a coffee at a choice of the many cafes & restaurants! A Dr surgery that specializes in treating performers! Right opposite the Newfarm park where after buying the products from the Coles Supermarket with competitive prices and special offers you can enjoy a lovely picnic in the Park! A great quirky bookshop Mary Ryan is on Myther rd! A fresh fruit & produce store is right next to ther restrooms called All about the Fruit & juice bar! A bottleshop called Vintage Cellars! A BAKERS Delight is also available with a specials table opposite between Bakers Delight & the Coles Supermarket! Parking is free including Wheelchair accessibility! A Malouf Pharmacy! Tons of walkable shops including a full size Coles, a nice deli, a butcher shop and several cafes. There is security to keep order which is nice, I've seen them run off a few undesirables.

Parking is available above and underground. Above the limit is 2 hours I believe and the underground garage has a time limit of 3 hours. They have signs posted saying they will tow your car if you park there and then leave the shopping center area, not sure if this is actually true but be advised.

Whole area is wheelchair accessible and there are well kept public bathrooms. I don't believe there's an elevator from the parking garage but there is a ramp.
