So I wandered into Broken Hearts Burger Club on a lazy Thursday arvo. No crowd, no chaos—just me, some neon signage, and the smell of beef on the grill. Vibe? Chill. Location? Prime New Farm real estate.

Walked in expecting someone at the counter—nope. Ghost town. But hey, the touchscreen ordering setup was smooth. Still, I’ll be honest—I miss a bit of human interaction. A “Hey mate, how’s your day?” goes a long way. But I get it, 2025 and all.

What I ordered: Classic Double Side of Fries

Food came out fast—like, “should I be suspicious or impressed?” kind of fast. But nah, all good. Hot, fresh, and actually looked like the pictures (shocking, I know).

Let’s talk fries. One bite in and I had a full-blown Macca’s flashback—the good kind, when the fries were fresh and perfectly salted. Same shape, same crunch. If Macca’s fries had a cooler older cousin, this would be it.

The burger? Simple. Smashed. Juicy. Straight-up delicious. Took me back to what cheeseburgers used to taste like before everything got over-engineered. No truffle aioli. No beetroot. Just beef, cheese, sauce, and good vibes.

Damage: $22 all up. Yeah, not pocket change, but I walked away full and satisfied. Worth it? I’d say yes.

Final thoughts: If you’re after a no-fuss, tasty burger that feels like a nostalgic hug in burger form, Broken Hearts Burger Club is the spot. It’s giving “what Macca’s should be” energy.

Came in yesterday night on Labour Day, extremely busy and only one employee. Hats off to the gentlemen working and trying desperately to keep up with the customers and Uber eat delivery drivers.

Management should seriously reflect on there actions. sheer greed cutting budgets and only paying one person public holiday rates.

This could have resulted in a work place health and safety incident. Management should put there employees safety and well-being first.

I demand a response to this review. How are you going to rectify this issue next time?Management needs to come forward and take responsibility for there actions. A brother could have had a stroke last night from how hard he was working, wish I could have just reached over the counter and gave him a big hug and assured him it wasn’t his fault. It generally looked like the brother had a Broken Heart. Your company name shouldn’t reflect on your employees...

I was very sceptical of how the burger will taste with it begin so simple but I was surprised it was so different from any other burgers I have tasted before. First is the patty is crispy at the edges. That was the first thing I noticed on my first bite. The other components worked in perfect harmony to create a tasty burger. Juicy, fresh, not too salty with acidity from the tomato slice and pickle. I don't order milk shakes but I saw there was a Lime flavour and gave that a try. The lime flavour was only a hint. I would have preferred stronger. I highly recommend bringing your own hot sauce if you are spice lover because the burger eating experience with flavour is of another level which I find it hard to explain in words.
