I told my husband that I found the perfect morning coffee place, so today we went here before starting work. It was busy and sad to say, the coffee (large flat white on almond milk) was not good.
The coffee was so hot, even my husband who is not usually fussy asked me to get him some serviettes because it was uncomfortable to hold while walking. The milk was over heated, and it affected the quality of the drink. To give you an idea, it usually takes me 3-5 minutes to finish my drink, this time it took me 15 minutes. I had to wait that long for it to cool down. To be fair, it was a different barista from when I first visited.
Will I visit again? - Yes, I'll give it another go. Like what I said in my other reviews, with the surge of small cafes - it's easy to find good coffee BUT it's hard to find a cafe that produces consistent good coffee.

I found this place on one of my late afternoon walks. The coffee was so good I had to buy another cup to check if they can consistently produce amazing coffee and they didn't disappoint.
The staff were friendly and very accommodating. The lady at the cashier gave me a weird smile after I ordered my second cup 🤣. She didn't say anything but I'm sure she was worried I might not get good sleep after downing 2 cups of coffee at 5pm in...
Read moreI used to visit this cafe once a week several years ago. However, I ceased being a patron of this business because of their differential and insolent treatment towards me. Specifically, in February 2022, I attended this cafe with two friends who were visiting from Melbourne. We all ordered coffees and breakfast dishes. My two friends (a married Korean-Japanese couple)were served their food in 20 m minutes. 45 minutes elapsed and I still hasn't been served my breakfast order. My impatience was heightening so I approached the staff at the cafe counter and questioned What happened to my breakfast dish.
He disdainfully replied, 'we never sent your order to the kitchen,' I was appalled with this degree of irresponsibility. Fora cafe that charges 5.00 for a tiny, espresso macchiato (a blatant rip off considering the coffee itself only costs .75) I opulent comprehend how they failed to communicate my order to the kitchen (which is directly behind the cafe counter).
I had to wait over 70 minutrs for breakfast dish. I also was subjected to the uncomfortable and awkward experience of watching this coupke gorge their food, while I persistently waited for mine in a very famished state.
I will nevrr attend this...
Read moreIt’s incredibly rare to come across a local café like this in Brisbane, at least for me. From the moment you walk in, there’s a distinct sense of care in everything they do. The presentation of each dish is simple yet thoughtfully crafted, and the flavours truly speak for themselves. It’s not about being flashy or over-the-top, it’s about doing the basics really, really well. And they absolutely nail it. Every dish feels like it’s been prepared with intention, right down to the smallest detail.
The coffee is honestly some of the best I’ve had in Brisbane. Smooth, bold, and expertly made. You can tell the baristas take pride in their craft. The space itself is also beautifully laid out, whether you’re visiting as a couple or catching up with friends, or just do a take away, the seating is arranged to make conversation easy and comfortable without feeling crowded.
What I really appreciate is how the whole experience feels effortless. Nothing is too fancy, but everything is just right. It’s the kind of café that makes you want to stay a little longer, return often, and tell everyone you know about it. A true local gem that gets...
