Hello Gorgeous — Restaurant in Brisbane City

Nice atmosphere and decor but music was way too loud. I barely heard a thing my friends said to me and we were yelling at each the whole time. The music also would frequently increase in volume even louder. It kept making us jump in our chairs. We weren't the only ones. The waitress struggled to hear us when we were ordering.

Menu online looked good online. Menu we were given at restaurant was different and missing quite a few items. We were asked straight away if we wanted to order food but our 4th person had not arrived yet. Later, we ordered a charcuterie and cheese board then waited a very long time for these to come out (over 25 mins). They were tasty and nice though when they did. We had to flag the waitress to order more food. We were then told a number of things were not available on the already-different menu. And, we were told there was no dessert. Disappointment :(

Food came out in weird combinations. Some dishes came out very fast.. Some were great, but the salads we ordered came out at the very end after we had well finished our main share plates. Very disappointed in the chorizo croquettes. Essentially potato and nothing else. Drunken prawns were good but I only had four slivers of pineapple on the plate. So not accurate according to description.

The table next to us had ordered dessert straight off the menu, yet we were told there was no dessert. ???? The other customers told us they freely ordered it. We asked the other waitress why we couldn't order it. She said that they had stopped serving dessert that night which is strange because it was early. One of the salads was double the price of the pear and rocket salad, yet half the size.

Bill came out and it was incorrect. Salad incorrectly recorded. It came back again but still with the incorrect item on there and again incorrectly priced. Minor but still, it's not good to miss such details.

We understand this is a new restaurant and bar. It's a lovely atmosphere but feel the owners and waitresses need to pay stronger attention and empathy to the customer experience, the details and this place will be rocking and give some stiff competition to other Valley locations when it's running more smoothly. We might wait awhile before...

Really bad experience, wouldn't recommend to anyone. I went to Hello Gorgeous to potentially book as a venue to hold my 30th bday party. Prior to this a week earlier I had submitted an event enquiry through the website and didn't hear anything back. When I went to the venue the only person around was the bar tender who couldn't answer any of my questions and suggested I submit a query via the website, which I already did. Safe to say I knew I wasn't going to get anywhere with this mob. We decided to stay for a drink and dinner. Ordered meals off the QR code at the table. We waited for quite a while so I approached the bar staff to see where the order was and they advised the kitchen was closed and no meals were being prepared. I requested a refund and was told it wasn't possible and to call back tomorrow. This is really poor customer service. The fella didn't care or offer any reasonable solution besides to call back tomorrow. The QR code shouldn't allow you to place orders and pay money if those items cannot be provided. It's been almost a week now and I am still chasing up a refund for $50. I call every day and no one answers. I have again submitted another online query to get some sort of assistance with a refund and no response. I'm not from Brisbane, I was simply visiting so I am finding incredibly difficult to have this sorted. I will not be returning to this venue again and will go out of my way to ensure others don't either. Maybe this post will help get some attention form management to process my refund? Probably not... My partner and I have kept an eye on the bottomless BBQ they offer on Sundays, and we were excited to try it out. We will not go back. We made a booking early in the day for two at 4pm. When we arrived (a bit early) we were told we had a two hour session and to ask the chef if there was anything we wanted more of. They advertise chicken, beef cheek, prawns, sausage, cuttlefish, and several veggie options; as well as bread and salads-most of which we never saw. We got the last three skewers with a bite of sausage, a piece of capsicum and a slice of haloumi and RAW cold meatballs. There were several pieces of salmon on the pit, but before they were even taken off they were claimed by other hungry people. Not once were we asked if we needed anything or reassured that more food was coming. In fact, the brunette that works there did everything in her power to avoid even eye contact with us. When we asked we were told they were out of meat and the chef was looking in the back to see what he could come up with. The only reason I've given two stars instead of one is because when we finally gave up and said we were leaving, the staff member with the black glasses did the right thing and offered us a refund.
