Runs every Sunday and you can donate a gold coin upon enty. it's extremely packed and parking can be hard.
Highly recommend the pastries, they are usually at the entrance and the croissants sell out by about 11am!! We tried the GF potato rosti - I think it needed some Chilli or salt to zest it up a bit. The wait is super long though. My friend tried the Savoury crepes and liked it. Again, long queue. There is also a wood fire pizza stall too. Lots of coffee stalls along the way.
There are heapssss of handmade stalls selling candles, hats, clothes, homemade concoctions like exotic teas, jams, coffee, soaps, unique wooden flowers etc . Down the second strip, are stalls selling second hand items, like a trash and treasure market.
Daylesford Sunday Market is very family friendly as it offers a small animal petting farm at the end of the market for a cash $5 upon entry. You can pet Guinea pigs, chicken, puppies, rabbits, parrots, alpaca and goats!
Most stalls are cash only but foods stalls will accept card or pay with phone. If you plan properly, you may catch the vintage train ride which is at the market itself too. Toilets are located inside the...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreWhat an amazing gem thatās open every Sunday of the year! We visited most recently on 2nd July to escape the rainy Melbourne weather. Within 1.5 hrs drive from home, itās as if we were transported to a totally different location! Yes it was a bit cold but the sky was blue and the market was abuzz with activity! From the petting zoo to amazing food stalls and also the local market fare and treats including local honey, jams/relishes and lots of fruit and veg. Thereās also a tonne of 2nd hand sellers laid out in the lower area of the market. Most of the stalls we visited accepted cards except the petting zoo (cash only $5 per child). Thereās also the fun train ride thatās run on a schedule but we didnāt ride it on this occasion. Definitely a must-go destination when...
