In Daylesford for Winter Sounds Festival, staying next door to the @Daylesford Bowling Club, walked in , no reservation, promptly directed to dining room , large menu & special board, ordered a Parma ( it’s Parma Night ,$25 with a free drink 🍷, Lordy when the chef brought the plate to the table I almost fell off the chair, no holding back here , plenty of veg to accompany, I’d say that’s the best ever Parma meal I’ve had - thank you chat

Sunday evening dinner was a pleasant surprise. Menu selection was hard to make. Finally chose Sharnee's Chicken Kiev. Fantastic!! Moist, flavoursome with chunky chips and salad. Friendly and welcoming staff. Seriously, if you want an unpretentious, value for money meal in Daylesford this is a great place. Good wine and beer too. The Specials list was great.

Whilst on a holiday in Daylesford and deciding which Pub to go to for dinner, my wife and I stumbled upon the local Bowling Club. Well what a great find. The food was delicious. The service friendly. The drinks cold. The prices extremely reasonable. Thanks

Lovely staff, regular diner but haven’t been back for a few months.

Menu is very limited, lovely team - both chefs and floor staff but food wasn’t great for the price.

Chicken Parma $30 which I haven’t an issue paying but it’s the low grade heart shape chicken sniz - yes the ones you see in the Coles deli! Soggy and came with a small side of green salad and chips. Come on team - you can’t serve this kind of chicken for these prices.

It’s not hard to buy an actual chicken breast and have your kitchen team create a crumbed seasoned fillet with taste. .

It’s usually a packed house on a Saturday night with lots of locals… tonight the place was empty - explains the situation.

Sorry but I won’t returning until I hear the place has improved its food.

I’m sorry to have to post such a...

They're all about the bowling. Gotta love that bowling. Remember when we used to bowl in the streets? Now we have these freaky fancy fandangled private bowling clubs. Time has gone too fast for me. Five old stars though because they have a display area for the history of the bowling. I love the bowling I have had to join three different clubs now I'm in my third marriage and this club has a great display of the history of the bowling and I live around the corner. Fish meal on Tuesday or Thursday evening are best plus the bookings sheet for bowling is now online please sign up we need members for the new 20 20 tournament. Players wishing to get a head start should bring their own shoes. I had the chicken parm special last time....

If I could give this place no stars I would. We often go to this place on a Sunday in the past knowing the meals would be good but on Father's day felt ashamed to have suggested this place for the special day. I figure our meals would have totalled over $180 and no one at the table of 6 could say anything nice about the meal, maybe I pumped the place up too much. It took over 28 minutes to serve the table with all the meals. My daughter was served first and my grandson some 28 minutes later got his meal( 12 years old ),everyone had finished theirs. The old chef left some 2 months ago (we didn't know that ) and the guy there now cannot be called a chef let alone a cook. STAY AWAY...
