FISHBOWL - Surfers Paradise — Local services in Gold Coast City

I first tried Fish Bowl at Burleigh Heads, and I really enjoyed it. The regular size bowl had such a generous portion that I couldn’t even finish it. When I found out there was also a location at Surfers Paradise, I was thrilled and decided to order two different regular bowls through Uber Eats. However, I was extremely disappointed when I received them; each bowl was only about half full, and I ended up easily finishing both in one sitting. I thought it might have been a one-time issue, so I decided to give it another try.

The second time, I ordered the same two bowls at Surfers Paradise, but this time I paid an extra $3 to upgrade each to a large size, hoping for a better experience. Unfortunately, I was let down again. The bowls were still noticeably underfilled, with at least one-third of each bowl left empty. The portion size was nowhere near what I had at Burleigh Heads, and it left me wondering why there was such a drastic difference.

I will never come back to the Surfers Paradise location. If I want Fish Bowl in the future, I’ll stick to Burleigh Heads, where I can actually get a full,...

I was getting my lunch at this location this morning around 10-11am, fishbowl is honestly my favourite place to get food however this time was a completely different experience. I had ordered and was waiting for my food when the worker was putting something in a cupboard and stood on the counter WITH HER SHOES on. She then did NOT sanitise the bench or at least wipe it down, she then was adjusting her clothes and hair with her gloves on that she then made my food with.

This is extremely gross and I’m honestly really disappointed and almost walked out without getting my food I was disgusted that I then had to eat my food that was made on a bench that had been stepped on with shoes and not wiped. Something needs to be done about this possibly buy a step ladder for the workers so that they don’t need to step on the counter with dirty shoes??? and health standards need to be revisited and worked on because this is really...

Fishbowl has been my addiction for what must be over a year now. Friends look at me strangely when I tell them I find salad a treat on a Friday night but I don’t care, I’m proud to be a Fishbowl supporter. I’m not political in any way, surprisingly, but if there is an argument involving Fishbowl I will be there. Nevertheless, I was in here a while ago and had such a banger of a bowl I was compelled to leave a review. Furthermore, the staff were so accommodating they even made a replacement bowl when I told them of my disdain for wasabi (I don’t understand how anyone likes that stuff). This level of service, coupled with the amazing presentation and moreish heaping of salad, meat and rice made my day, and continues to. All the best.
