If there was anything less than 1 star. This is the restaurant you have to avoid only to save yourself from seriously misleading menu information and poor food quality. No matter what they remake for you, it is to be noted we have always lover Sankal Aspley and Annerley. The one on Gold coast surfers paradise is just sinking your name and reputation as an Authentic indian food restaurant. This restaurant was no where close to others. Please avoid, for the following reasons:sad to say so but true.. I am here to help all the people for not getting sick. Gold Coast Pathetic Indian restaurant Cheap furniture, may break anyday. This will be the last thing you want to get on a holiday trip. The misleading menu discription. This is the most serious issue, which may cause or trigger allergies, for any unknown ingredients, this is alarming. Save yourself, and your loved ones by avoiding this restaurant at gold coast. Safety in what you eat, but unaware of misleading discription in their online menu. "Samosa chat with Chick peas curry" was served with awful taste yoghurt, I wanted to check the best before dates of the products they used. I am sick, with stomach ache and other problems, if I do not get better in few hours, may have to go to Hospital. This is getting worse, when you are on your vacation. Sad...!! Remake dishes were even more pathetic and they even had guts to take back the wrong served dish, they might wanna serve it to someone else. Sad to say this for my most loved and most Authentic chain of restaurants, this gold coast venue will take your name down. Upsetting but really true. Online payments, no not safe for such a bad food, and the owner manager has all the guts to reply to each negative review and no sense for customer satisfaction. This is the only Gold coast Sankalp restaurant at surfers paradise, receiving all negative reviews. So definitely something is poorly managed here, that many people leaving disgusted or never returning back. PLEASE AVOID eating here. Only 2 high chairs for toddlers, clearly shows they do not want to invest into for customer satisfaction. Need more demonstration of how bad they can get, the only 2 high chairs are the cheapest poor quality chairs unbranded or cheapest to the hell. Sad but true. If you love your kids and want them to have safest restaurant experience, please avoid their high chairs, and this restaurant altogether. Kids safety is most important, please avoid. This owner may claim, otherwise but if you still do not believe go and have a look before ordering their pathetic Indian food. Long term, Under-staffed for some reason, bills on walls everywhere. No staff call buttons, dine -in and they still call themselves Sankalp, no where close. Honestly please Avoid At Sankalp Gold coast instead drive up fast and go to Annerley or Aspley. Food not served in a way how it is served by all the other Sankalp, hence you get cold food, and you may feel sad. these are serious issues and hence, very badly taking down your reputation SANKALP, do something before too late. Awful pathetic food, at a premium price, that would make you feel sick once you are back at home.
@Sankalp Gold coast, May god bless you, and give you some sense of hospitality. Hope your top management from other branches look at my review, either they fix all the issues or at least get this restaurant off listed from Sankalp's chain. We wasted our time, money and got sick with...
Read moreI had dinner here with my family (4 ppl) yesterday. Customer service was too disappointing. Two main issues. Some favouritism was going on and they don't know what's 'first come first serve' means.
We felt like the restaurant is for their family, friends and relatives and open for them to enjoy food and watching the cricket match. Rest of the customers not so important.
1st issue: There was a big empty table next to the TV which we wanted to sit on. It wasn't reserved that time. The girl at the counter who directed us said that it is a bigger table for 4 of us. So we sat on a 4 chair table. Just imagine what happened next. A few minutes later, one guy came and sat on it. And next another guy came and sat. Basically two guys sat on that 'BIG' table. Maybe she meant ' Big size' guys only allowed to sit on that table.
Second issue: Next, the gentleman served us. We were waiting a decent time to serve us and bring the plates and prepare the tables. And then we noticed that the customers who came after us have been served first by preparing their table. It looked like those customers and the staff knew each other well. So they started to serve and welcome them before us.
When we flagged it, they said it was his first day. My point is whether its first day or last, they should know the basic serving teaching which is ' first come first serve'. And I blame the management for not training their staff with basics.
Positive: Only good part of our dinner was the food. It was amazing. Thanks to the chief and the cooking team.
Never recommend. Not going back again even though the...
