We stayed 2 nights on 1-2 Jan 2025. We didn't use any facilities outside of our room so can't comment except to say that it's positive there are swimming pools, a gym, sauna and other related features.
The location is perfectly situated in the heart of Surfers Paradise literally at the door front.
From level 44 the madness and chaos is easily left behind. BTW - The lifts are quick.
The car park is in the basement.
I can only speak for apartment 2446 which translates to building 2 (North), level 44, unit 6. It's a great size and decent layout with separate lounge, kitchenette, bedroom and bathroom.
The view is inland towards the hinterland and in my view more interesting than the ocean. It looks down on the canals with all its small boating activity occurring daily. And at night the buildings light up like Xmas trees. Very peaceful, calming and beautiful to come home to every evening.
The bedroom and lounge are floor to ceiling glass. Oldish Blockout blinds in the bedroom and non blockout in the lounge. VERY LUCKILY the apartment faces westward so the morning sun doesn't flood the bedroom or lounge. But the afternoon sun is HOT.
The air con in 2446 is strong so the afternoon sun is no problem and the night can be as cold as you wish.
2446 has much privacy on the balcony because there's only one distant neighbour to the side. Neighbours Above and below have no impact. It's perfect. The balcony is relatively large. Large enough for a small table with 4 chairs. But the sun is hot in the afternoon so we only used the balcony in the morning and night.
The lounge has a couch and another single seater and a coffee table. It also has the small/medium square table with 4 chairs - good size for breakfast, lunch or dinner.
There's no desk. My opinion is it would be useful.
At the front entrance is a large space with a sofa lounge capable of taking 2 bodies. It's somewhat private if you use it for that reason.
The bathroom is all glass with a drop down blind to partition it from the bedroom off you have guests using the bathroom. The spa bath is large and sits next to the shower. The shower head is old Style but fully functional.
Only 2 towels, 1 floor mat, and 1 face towel is supplied. If you shower more than once a day there's a fold up rack you can use on the balcony to dry towels or user the dryer. There's a washing machine as well. Only 2 packets of washing powder is supplied.
The kitchen is decently supplied with the necessary plates and utensils. I found it very odd there wasn't a coffee machine (Woolworths is at the rear entrance). The fridge is full sized.
Cleanliness was mixed. Whoever vacuumed the room to prepare for our entry should be replaced. It's not that hard to clean the top surface of bed heads but the cleaner seemed incapable of this simple task as well. I can only wonder if the cleaning contractor cleans all the cupboard spaces, flooring and obvious living areas and touch points. Cleanliness was the only negative but I'm a stickler for this aspect of holiday accommodation and others may not be.
COST could be an issue but you will need to decide if the convenience of location, the large living space, and the sweeping views are worth it. We have no hesitation recommending this place but inn the same breath would choose another comparable apartment if it was cheaper.
Last comments are for reception. A bloke named ADAM made the difference for me. Efficient, competent, calm, approachable and a good bloke. I missed the name of the young lady but she was very pleasant and...
Read moreI have now stayed at Mantra Circle on Cavill 4 times and unfortunately this would be our last time. We have booked a holiday for next year also and will be staying elsewhere. This is very disappointing for us as we really enjoyed our stay the other times. The location is great but our room this time was very disappointing. I had asked earlier in our stay if there was any other rooms available and I was notified they were fully booked out. I then told the lady when we checked out how our stay was and she put the blame back on us to say it was our fault for not bringing all of these things to their attention earlier. She advised us that the person before us that stayed there did not inform them of the issues. Well this would have had to have been the last 100 people who stayed there because this room is in such bad condition. We payed a huge amount to get beach front view and all we got was a run down apartment. Surely housekeeping would see the issues with this place! We did not want to have maintenance in and out of the room. This should have not been the case and the rooms should be checked regularly. To start the main bedroom which has the beach front view had a blind that covered 3/4 of the sliding door and it only went up half way. The plaster was coming off from the roof and the curtain was not operational. There was no functioning light in the walk in robe. The main bedroom's bathroom door was about to fall off. There was no track at the bottom to guide it to stop. The carpet in the whole apartment was horrific, not only was it very worn out, but it also had waves all the way through it and the kids kept falling over because of it. The sliding doors in the apartment had locks on the bottom of them but they were so seized that they did not work in any of the rooms which was quite concerning when you have children. The dishwasher had mould inside it and also would stop working in the middle of washes. I know how to use this model as we have the exact one in our home. There was mould along all of the caulking in the kitchen on the bench. There was an electrical issue in the apartment as you were not able to use or turn the switch on for the dryer and the washing machine at the same time. The dyer shorts out and is very dangerous. You would have to unplug one of the appliances so that the other would work. The cleaning in the apartment was pretty poor too. You stand in at the sink in both bathrooms and behind the toilets is all dirty and looks like dry vomit. The bedlinen had stains on it. Visible big stains. The donors and brown small coverlets on the end of the bed had all crusty stains on them. This was so disappointing for us as it was the first time we went on holiday with our children. All of our other previous stays were very good that's why we came back. When I mentioned all of these things on check out, I was told it was our problem that we should have notified them earlier so they could fix it all. Well that's pretty poor because it should all have been fixed before we checked in. We shouldn't have maintenance in our apartment 24/7 to fix all of these issues. The staff member told us that she was aware of some of these issues, but clearly they were never fixed and we were still charged a premium rate...
Read moreHad a great 5 night stay On the Gold Coast in a 1 bedroom ocean view apartment at the mantra circle of Cavill in the south tower.
Highlights :)
The view was amazing and you could see all over surfers paradise through to Broadbeach. Apartment had 2 balconies, Living room was spacious which lead into an open planned kitchen, there was a spa bath in the bathroom which you could sit in all day/night and watch the view of the surface paradise skyline, Bed was spacious and comfy.
The apartment was also very spacious with lots of everyday appliances and had a good layout. Uber and transport right at your door step was a bonus. There was an option of 3 pools with one being indoor and heated. Right in the centre of everything including shops, attractions, restaurants, bars etc, lifts were Very fast and the average waiting time for one would be under 20 seconds.
Downsides :(
No Tv in the room, no room service, The drain in the Shower did not drain very well so our bathroom was flooded for a period of time after using a shower. Hopefully it will get fixed soon as it was pretty dangerous as a person could easily fall and injure themselves. Room doesn’t get cleaned everyday so had to keep washing towels etc. The reception staff were quite rude and expected you to know everything. When you asked a question to them you were made to look stupid, put down and weren’t treated like a guest in the hotel. I wouldn’t expect this type of behaviour from a receptionist of a 4-5 star hotel.
Other downsides would be no restaurant or bar in the hotel. One of the pools was closed for 3 out of 5 days we were there. It was the only pool in the sun and quiet so was disappointed it was closed for a few days. The north side pool was always in the shade so the water was pretty cold. I believe it should of been placed elsewhere. It was also filled with loud kids and families who did not obey pools rules and surprised one of them did not injure themselves. Hotel rooms and Permanent residents were scattered all over place. So your neighbour might of been a permanent resident. Would of preferred if they were in seperate areas as some residents were noisey at times.
Over all had a a fantastic stay on the Gold Coast. The holiday itself was a 5 out of 5. Except for our flight being cancelled and having to spend a night elsewhere before returning home. I would definitely Love to move to the Gold Coast one day and recommend for anyone especially for young adults and families.
If there were a few less negatives about the hotel itself I would of given the mantra circle of Cavill 4 or...
