This isn’t your regular shopping centre cafe. Most just rely on passing foot traffic to bring in customers and forget about quality and customer service. Coming Home co not only has quality food, coffee and a great set up for seating (indoors and outdoors), but their customer service is exceptional. One standout employee is Madeline who exudes warmth and makes everyone feel welcome. For me, a sign of a good cafe is if they remember you and your coffee order. Check and check. It could be because she likes visits from my little girl, and it’s a good sign when my daughter gets excited to see Madeline. That being said all the cafe staff are super friendly and very professional. There’s a reason I have this on my list of the best cafes on the Gold Coast. The Good: - quality food - good coffee - lots of seating, indoors and out - great customer service - the smoothies are tasty The Not As Good: - one of the male members of the staff keeps calling me ā€œchampā€ every time I go in. I’m sure he means well, and perhaps it’s an Australian thing, but back in Canada if we called anyone over the age of 10 ā€champā€ it isn’t a compliment. - all the baked good are super sweet. Not just regular sweet, but SUPER SWEET. That’s not a bad thing if you like rich baked goods, but really sweet foods are not my thing. I’ll stick with the savoury selection. if you found this long winded review helpful, or just want to tease me by calling me ā€œCHAMPā€, but can’t comment on the SWEET review, then hit the LIKE button to fuel my addiction to reviewing. Enjoy, Jimmy

What a stellar spot. I came here for an early lunch and took up my dining companions suggestion and emulated her go to order. It’s a prepay at the counter style set up and they offer a range of ready made salads and lighter options which all appeared highly appetising. Even more tantalising was the sensational looking desserts including a gorgeous home made apple pie and a whole host of other beauties. The food arrived relatively quickly, the pulled beef on pumpkin seed toast with dukkha, creamy garlic hummus, preserved lemon and scrambled eggs (the dish comes with poached but we opted to swap). What a delightful combination of flavours and textures. The beef was sensationally tender and I adored the uniqueness of the preserved lemon, not something I’ve really seen before on a breakfast dish. I also thoroughly enjoyed the bread itself. Super soft and the absolute star of the show. Would not hesitate to return

I recently had the pleasure of dining at Coming Home at Robina Town Centre. The atmosphere was welcoming, and the staff were all friendly and attentive. One of the highlights of my meal was the Quinoa Smashed Avo. It was a refreshing twist on a classic dish and the combination of flavors was spot on. The quinoa added a nice texture and the avocado perfect. I also enjoyed an iced long black, which was expertly prepared and had a rich, bold flavor. Overall, I had a fantastic dining experience at Coming Home Cafe and I would highly recommend it to others. Whether you're looking for a quick bite to eat or a leisurely meal, this cafe has something for everyone.

My wife and I have been patronising Coming Home since mid 2022. Last year most of your meals were very good with good service and quality tasting food; we had even recommended it to other friend and we had taken guest there to eat and they were happy with the breakfast meals last year. However, we have noticed that over the past few months, there has been a change in the grill cooks this year of 2023; as a result, the past 3 out of 4 times we dined at Coming Home over the past few months, we have been quite disappointed with the quality of the breakfast food. Normally we don't like writing reviews, but after yesterday's breakfast, we felt we needed to make a comment. First, let us say, the coffee again was fantastic; the barista has been consistent with the quality of the coffee. And the ACAI smoothie is really good. However the breakfast food over the past few times has been very inconsistent. Yesterday we both ordered scrambled eggs with grilled toast and one order of crispy bacon and an order of maple bacon. Our food was served to us after about a 12 minute wait which was fine, but the food was not good. The grilled toast was very greasy and not firm as it has been when toasted on the grill in past dining experiences; the toast was quite soft in the middle; and for the first time, we did not finish the toast because it was not good. The crispy bacon had virtually no flavour at all, except for some burnt edges which tasted burnt and it was not crispy. My wife's maple bacon was also nearly tasteless and she did not finish it. But much worse was the scrambled eggs; they were NOT scrambled cooked. They looked like they were scrambled in a bowl, poured on a hot grill, but then cooked flat and served to us on the plate like a very flat omelet; it was clear there was no scrambling of the eggs while cooked on the grill or in a pan or however they were cooked it; and there was almost no taste whatsoever to the eggs; they were some of the worst eggs we have ever eaten for breakfast. It was very disappointing having paid about 35 dollars for food which had really no taste. My wife could see the cook and my wife thought the cook might be an apprentice, but we don't know. It will be a long time before we go back to Coming Home cafe, if we ever do decide to go back. We were once happy customers, but we can no longer recommend Coming Home cafe breakfast food to other people due to the past few breakfast meals we have had. We still will recommend...

I was drawn to "Coming Home co" at the Kitchens today as I had heard so many stories about it, both good and not so good. I entered at around 11.30 and stood around for a while happily taking in the very pleasing eye catching environment. Furnishings, Counter Zone, absolutely everything perfection! I was drawn in! No second thoughts! Right from the zany chalk boards out front designed to make me drool to the meticulously arranged cold display bursting with tasty Goodies, Sweets, Deserts, and delicious to the eye salads! YUMMM! When ordering, I was asked if i'd like a loyalty card........nice touch, but my man bag was full of such things until recently........heck! If I am impressed, I'll remember without the need of another annoying little card. Today I chose a combination of all three salads on display: Herb'd Potato, Green combination of Fresh Beans, Pea, Broccoli & various sprouts and another that I can not describe accurately other than to say DELICIOUS! The combination, apparently classed as a single adult serve, was way too large a serve for this old guy, but I managed to shovel it all in and leave my bowl empty except for a splash of dressing.......perhaps a little bread roll to mop it up would have been a nice touch. In all a very happy diner. I will be back and I'll bring a crowd!

From one Foodie to another - Well Done to the "Coming Home co"...
