Do not attend IRG for your child if your specialist is in Sydney. IRG does not allow parents to register for online access to images because they are under 18. My daughter sees a number of specialists in Sydney (neurologist, neurosurgeon). The specialists up there are not registered for the IRG online portal. IRG will only provide images on a CD for kids….unfortunately CD’s dated 10 years ago and no one actually has a CD drive. I wish we went to a different service because it has been a real hassle just for my daughter’s specialist to be able to view the MRI’s that THEY requested! Other services allow for guardians to register for access but not IRG and they will not help at all! My partner with me, he could see me trying to ask how her day was, but her words were a whisper. It just felt like I was an issue.
