Zambrero Bentleigh — Restaurant in Melbourne

I've been a fan of zambrero back from when they were a smaller company and I saw that they finally opened a store in my suburb, hell yeah.

I walk in to see they've upped the decor from the old looking store and brightened up their colours, looking slick.

A guy named Mitch takes my order and from the get go I felt like an old mate was taking my order, like he was excited to make me a banging burrito, and boy was it banging.

I've never met Mitch before but I hope he makes me another scrumptious burrito sometime, definitely the feeling a lot of other franchise fast food restaurants fail to create and this should be the aim of places in the area. Vegetables were topped to the brim and my stomach is thanking me, let alone my taste buds.

Second time I have had a ordinary experience. The first time I ordered on the app and got it delivered. The order was horribly wrong. The second time I ordered, delivery was quoted as $5.99 - when I went to submit, it added $5.99 per main meal. I then decided to collect the order - it was supposed to be ready at 7.55pm. I arrived at 8.00pm and the order wasn’t even started. A staff member said they would check on the order, and then proceeded to serve someone else. A second staff member then came over, and said she would check the order and then said “we will make it now”. I left the store at 8.25pm. Zambrero in Bentleigh absolutely nails it—had their Signature Burrito and mate, it was bloody awesome. Packed with fresh stuff like rice, beans, guac, salsa, and your pick of meat, it was full of flavour and hit the spot big time. What’s even better? Every burrito or bowl you buy means they donate a meal to someone in need through their Plate 4 Plate program. They’ve dished out over 90 million meals so far, which is pretty bloody impressive.
