We stayed in Room 2805 on the nights of 03/03 and 04/03/2023.||We booked through Bookings.com and paid $1710 for the 2 nights (confirmation number 3117539450, booking name Claire Billing). This email is to express our dissatisfaction with many aspects of our stay. Please see below a list of issues and corresponding photos.|| ||Several hooks in the main hallway were falling off leaving unsightly holes in the plaster.|||The carpet was filthy dirty. Especially in the main bedroom, the carpet is beyond steam cleaning and needs replacing. The dust built up around the edges was revolting.| ||The hard floors had dirty drip marks on it and the edges around the cornice were filthy and had collected debris and dust. We got dirty feet from walking on the floor barefoot.| ||The paintwork was chipped and had scuffs on it. The whole apartment is in dire need of a re-paint.| ||The footrests and cushions in the loungeroom had visible spills.|||The shower in the main bathroom was coated in a slimy sludge around the edges (that wiped off when rubbed with foot). It was evident the showers hadn’t been cleaned for quite some time.|||Liquid splashed up the wall in the loungeroom|||Dirty finger prints on TV, powerpoints and bathroom mirrors. Powerpoints were dusting and dirty.|||Cobwebs inside and outside on the deck|||The fridge has no handle and was difficult to open|||The wine glasses were an odd set and didn’t match|Several dishes (drinking ware, crockery and cutlery) were dirty. Some had food remains on them. All kitchenware had to be rewashed before using.|The bottom sheet on the beds were tucked in a lot down the bottom and not at all at the top, exposing the mattress protector|The beds were made with the top sheet and blanket tucked in extensively down the bottom so when the person got into the bed, they were only covered from their waist down. Beds had to totally pulled apart and remade.|No spare blankets provided for the beds| ||The accommodation really tarnished our stay and is simply not good enough. Read moreAVOID WAISTING YOUR MONEY..I’m not one to usually leave a review but this was needed!! Booked to stay over the new year paying a very high rate so we expected our stay to be welcoming and relaxing. Unfortunately, this was far from what we experienced.. Checkin was made extremely hard and staff were far from friendly. (Should have known just by the way they respond to customers reviews.) We booked this place for the pool and sauna but didn’t even use these facilities as they are nothing like the images which was extremely disappointing.The pool is tiny, located on the bottom floor and does not look like something you’d want to swim in..unless you want to get a funky disease. The view was nice from our room and we watched the fireworks from our balcony. Considering the heat it would have been nice if our room wasn’t 50 degrees and the aircon had of been turned on to ensure our arrival was enjoyable. Instead it was so hot in the room and struggled to cool the place down, especially in the bedroom as there was no fan or aircon at all. The bed was very uninviting, cheap bed linen and mattress with no bed frame..some nice bed linen and quality pillows/doona is not too much to ask and is expected when paying for accomodation. So to sum this place up, the location is nice and has good balcony views. However, this is let down by the below average amenities and incredibly rude staff who do not care about their guests and are not willing to be understanding or flexible at all. Read moreI was not provided any details on how to check in. The contact number on email was a wrong number and when we arrived we had to email the default address and wait for someone to respond.
Once someone finally came to get us, they took us to an "office" that in no way resembled an office, made us sign new terms and conditions that were not disclosed at the time of booking and pay a huge deposit that was also not told to us when we booked - we actually believed we were getting scammed at this point, standing in some dingy room with junk everywhere.
The customer service was extremely poor every step of the way - the person that took us to our room even complained about their day and how they had some of their cleaners quit.
When we finally got to the room we found it had not been cleaned very well, had minimum amenities and made loud noises from the wind getting in the sliding door. The whole building smelt of damp, especially in the entry/elevators. View was ok but not worth the premium - will be staying in an AirBnB or hotel next time.
Edit 26/9/18: Accusing us of not wanting to provide identification is both false and misleading as this simply did not occur. Your response so long after my review is testimony to this.
On the day we did not wish to pay a deposit or provide a creditcard as we had little faith we were dealing with a legitimate organisation after all that we went through. At no point during the booking process were we told that we had to pay a bond/deposit.
