ORDERED: 🍚 Thai-Bimbap: brown rice (can choose garlic), carrots, mushroom, cucumber, spinach, egg and your choice of protein ($16.40) REVIEW: Always exciting to see a new cafe open up in docklands! The service and atmosphere were above average - friendly staff, with a commitment to the retro design that I really admired. You can tell that there's been a lot of attention to detail where the salt and pepper shakers are little planes. Really aligns to what I would expect from a bistro named Groovy Mama! 📺 I enjoyed the thinking behind making a thai inspired-bimbimbap and the fresh sides - crunchy carrots and the freshly cooked egg for lunch. However, points fell for the dry beef. Cooked a little bit too close to the sun, there were few juicy pieces but far too many crispy-dry. Photo attached. 😢 Was also sad that their salad wasn't available yet, even though it was on the menu! Keen to try their greek/olympic salad. 🥗😵 Nonetheless, lots of potential for this bistro adds to the docklands area that's saturated with vietnamese/Italian at the moment. I'm interested to go back to try their soy chai/other dishes to see how I go! 😊

Service is lovely but the food is not nearly up to the par. What we got was unlike in existing review. 1. Chicken waffle, 2 small pieces of chicken with way overloooked, burnt and super dry. Salad (coleslaw) quite smelly. Overpriced. 2. French toast, the egg is missing (we realised later when we looked at other reviews). Only 2 slices of burned bread and 2 thin beacon slices. Way too overpriced for what's on the plate. Edited: changes are; 1) Removed whip cream comment, asking owner to look at and improved the rating. 2) Added below to give more info. We are glad to see your response. We visited around Sunday noon and we cannot comment if dragon boat has started or not. We dine out a lot and we believed our feedback was ligit and fair based on quality of food vs price we had. It's up to you to believe and consider if improvement should be taken place. We are looking for improvement, not the refund as we live nearby. We'll no longer back to this comment. Thx.

Every time I go, the food is always so delicious. It’s a restaurant near my house that I visit often, but this time everything seemed different. I ordered the fried chicken bimbap, the chicken was tough, and the fried egg had black oil stains, probably from very old oil. Most importantly, I didn’t get the pickled vegg. It looked so different, and the taste wasn’t good. I’m not writing this review to criticize, but to help bring back the quality to what it was before, because you are my favorite cafe.

Probably up there with one of the most tasty egg and bacon rolls Ive had. Never had seeded mustard on a bacon and egg roll, but it really lifted the roll! It was amazing to have a bacon and egg roll come out already seasoned to perfection. My wife had The Oklahoma onion burger which she rated that highly and top praise for the Dubai chocolate inspired croissant.

The service was excellent, very welcoming and friendly, took the time to chuck some ideas and explain different options to my fussy daughter.

Smooth and tasty coffee really hit the spot and our whole experience was fantastic and will go out of my way to come back here again next time I'm...
