Me and my partner have been to this place 3 times now...and unfortunately it's gotten worse on each visit.

Let me first talk about what's good...the coffee! Can't complain, very good coffee and it's been that way on all 3 visits.

The food though has been getting progressively disappointing on each visit. We had a pretty good Caprese sandwich on our first visit which made us go back again for our second visit, but unfortunately we were met with some rather arrogant service and a Porchetta Panini that was so over toasted and crunchy that it made it painful to eat, while the insides were still cold.

Being that it was a neighbourhood cafe for us we decided to give it another chance 6 months later but what we experienced this time around was even worse. Service was once again very arrogant and unfriendly, and the Mortadella Cornetto's that we ordered came to us somewhat flattened but with the insides still very cold and with un-melted cheese.

Will not be...

ORDERED: 🥪 Prosciutto panino: Prosciutto Toscano DOP, fior di latte, rocket ($14.50) or 🥗  convert your panino to a salad bowl (+$2.50)

REVIEW: The perfect work lunch. When I'm craving prosciutto, Saluministi is my go to joint. The Italian bread is tough (at times). It was so hard, that my top retainer actually snapped in half!! Now I've received the best advice from my friend to actually eat the bread upside down if I feel like it's particularly tough that day. The flavours at Saluministi are clean, and it is filling. They don't grill the panino it like a typical panini, but rather it's served as is which is perfect.

It's not as hyped as Hector's Deli, or Saul's Sandwiches but it feels like its in a league of its own. Saluministi is worth it, especially for an easy...

The best and most conveniently located cafe/restaurant to the library on the dock. They have a wide variety of Italian style sandwiches, all of the ones I have had, have been delicious

There's limited space inside, for Saluministi o be considered a proxy-office. That said, they do have the option to open an adjoining space for extra seating. However, this discs is well away from ordering counter

Given location is next to the library on the dock, you can order your food to takeaway and sit in the libraries open space

They do amazing catering for events, especially if your event is held at the library on the dock

My only complaint, is order fulfillment takes time, as does coffees. That said, staff are very friendly, so the service makes up...

Both of us had a day off and there's nothing quite like some packed Italian sandwiches and stovetop coffee to warm up on a rainy day. We tried the coppa panini as well as the spicier option featuring salami and n'duja (picante). I later found out that Saliministi actually specialises in porchetta and had some food regrets not ordering that so definitely would recommend that (I guess it just means we will have to come back soon). Also this place also doubles up as a small Italian specialty food store featuring traditional panettones, wine (some splendid ones from puglia too), biscuits and dessert boxes (Dolce and Gabanna brande and chocolates (Baci) with some Italian music in the background.

Saluministi in Docklands is a gem for anyone craving authentic Italian cuisine. The paninis here are just stellar, packed with flavor and perfectly complemented by their excellent coffee. Don't skip on the Italian sweets either; they're a real treat! Service is generally very good, though there’s a slight hiccup with the newer staff needing a bit more training to keep up the standard. Despite that, it’s my go-to spot for a top-notch Italian sandwich. Highly recommend for a taste of Italy right here in Docklands!
