We recently went with another family to Melbourne for the school holidays to watch a couple of games of footy and do some shopping and enjoy the sights of Melbourne. After a lot of googling I was glad I found this apartment. From the very first contact with Stephan when we enquired about the room and our constant contact with Bella & Grace, I felt very comfortable that I had made the right decision with our accommodation. On the day we arrived we were met by Grace at the car park of the apartments, which might I add, we were provided FREE parking for 2 cars for our entire stay saving us hundreds of dollars in parking (honestly, where in Melbourne or any cities for that matter offer free parking?!) Grace then took me to our apartment that was located on the 26th floor (27 floors in total) and the moment I walked in the door and saw the view and the beautiful apartment I was absolutely stunned! The apartment we stayed in (Room 2609) was a brand new 3 bedroom apartment with floor to ceiling windows and a balcony to take in the amazing views of the Yarra River, the city-line and even the ocean! The apartment is fully equipped with everything we needed to keep our 2 families happy. A kitchen with a Miele oven, dishwasher, coffee pod machine, toaster, kettle, iron and ironing board, hairdryer, washing machine and dryer. We had a short, roughly 100m, walk from our accommodation to the free tram zone, where we could catch a tram into the city for free! We didn’t have to use our car very often and the kids all enjoyed their first and multiple rides into the city, to the MCG and to Punt Road Oval. We had a short walk to Marvel Stadium to watch our beloved Bombers play the game of the season to win over Kangaroos in the last 20 seconds of the game. There are many coffee shops and eateries nearby and a beautiful park out the front with exercise equipment, a large grassed area for the kids to kick the footy and an awesome playground that the kids spent time in when the weather allowed it. They also enjoyed the amazing indoor heated pool in a warm room so we often forgot it was winter just outside the door. There is a Woolworths that is a short few minute walk from the accommodation that allowed us to stock up on groceries as we needed. We really appreciated the fact that when we booked we were sent an email with a recommendation of downloading the Deliveroo app so we could order dinner from numerous different restaurants/cuisines in the city without having to leave our accommodation on the cold wet nights with the kids in tow. Many discussions were had during our 6 nights stay about when we are coming back to visit this gorgeous apartment. We thoroughly enjoyed our stayed and will definitely be back in the near future! Thank you Stephan,...
Read moreI would have rated it higher if wasn’t for a few communications issues. Before arriving leaving me with little confidence. But once I arrived and was handed keys at 105 merchant st, you must pickup keys at the office before heading to the accomodation. We had booked a sky high 2 bedroom apartment with 2 bathrooms. When I entered I would have to say it was one of the cleaner apartments or accomodation I have been in and I have travelled and used a lot of different forms of accomodation around the world and you could smell the sanitizer’s and that it had been freshly cleaned and vacuumed. I will admit on closer inspection the carpet in the bedrooms were a bit dirty probably needing a shampoo or steam clean but was as clean as it could be when being used often. The barrooms and kitchen were very clean. We discovered the main bathroom had an issue with the tap not shutting jamming open I reported it via there information app that is posted in the room at about 9.00am in the morning and the tap was fixed by 5.00pm same day. Views were great and very quiet and peaceful part of the city not much local traffic so easily walk around the local area safely local Woolworths supermarket is only a few 100m away and the trams start and end in front of the apartment which you can use for free within the local cbd of Melbourne which makes getting around very easy. Marvel stadium and main train station Southern Cross all within walking distance. The main issue is not a lot of places to eat or takeaway food outlets are open at night within the dock lands area so would need to travel to eat or make things within the apartment or use Uber eats etc. on that the apartment had only one large pot a rice cooker and a baking tray so not enough to cook a meal. It does have a toaster, microwave, kettle and a Nescafé dolce coffee machine. So over all the place was clean in a good position nice views and a relaxing place to stay. I would stay again. My children had a great time and enjoyed the pool which is open till...
Read moreI made the booking with Stephan who was very informative & thorough. I thought the actual service provided from Melbourne Private Apartments was of an extremely high standard, including Bella who assisted us with checking in on the day. The 2 nights stay was for me, my wife & 2 small children 4 & 8. We booked the apartment on the 26th floor, 3 beds, 2 bathrooms, and it was a great space for our family. What we were really impressed with throughout our stay was how Clean the apartment was, and also the high quality furniture, comfy beds etc, everything just worked & was very comfortable which really made us relax & enjoy our time in the apartment. The views are absolutely spectacular, views to both the Melbourne City Marina & also to the Yarra River channel that takes ferries in towards the Melbourne CBD. We had some delicious takeaway delivered over our two night stay, and during the day really enjoyed the location, easy walk to The District Docklands Shopping precinct, not to mention the Woolworths & BWS Bottle shop all so close it was super convenient! I would highly recommend booking with Melbourne Private Apartments, our stay was just Brilliant, our only complaint is it wasn’t long enough, we didn’t...
