If I could leave 0 stars I would, the most horrendous service I’ve ever received. My partner and I have been looking forward to trying this new place for a few weeks now and as we haven’t been out for breakfast for a few months I thought it would be a nice place to try, boy was I wrong. We waited in a small line to be seated, a waiter came up to us, gave us two food menus, not even a drinks menu and pointed to the end of the restaurant and told us to choose a table. We sat down, there was no glasses or cutlery at the table and the table still had dirty dishes. The floor was also dirty and the couches had food stains on them, considering it is a new restaurant. We sat there and waited for around 10 minutes to even be acknowledged and after getting tired of waiting to be served, a waitress walked past and I asked her if we could please order, bear in mind we still didn’t have any cutlery or water and weren’t even acknowledged even after having a number of waitresses walking past our table in the last 10 minutes and serving the people around us. The lady barely looked at us in the eye when we were taking our order and didn’t even write it down. I then asked if we could please have a drinks menu as I haven’t been to the restaurant before and had no idea what to order as I didn’t know what they offered. She looked at me and said well do you want coffee or drinks and I said well I would just like a menu please. During this time a young girl who seemed inexperienced finally came over to our table to put down cutlery and glasses, still no water. After waiting another 10 minutes just to receive a drinks menu, the same waitress who took our food order came over and shoved it on our table and didn’t even say anything. After waiting another 15 minutes again, waitresses were walking past seeing that we were looking at the drinks menu and STILL didn’t take our order. A lady at a table down from me also seem frustrated and went up to the bar to find someone to serve them. Someone came over to her straight away and nearly walked past us again until I asked if we could order some drinks. I told her that we had already ordered our food but just wanted to order drinks and some water. After waiting around 25 minutes, we still hadn’t received our food, our drinks or any water. We ended up walking out the door as by this point we were hungry and sick of waiting. Horrible customer service, do not waste your time...
Read moreLocation is opposite Scarborough beach. Parking is a bit of a walk so give yourself time to get there on time. You will need to book as we did and confirm your booking as we did. We were running late and arrive 16 minutes late, we did try to ring but the phone number supplied on the website was not connected. On arrival we apologised for being late and informed them we tried to ring, they admitted the phone was not connected. The waitperson then told us because we were late our booked table was given away, we protested as we had tried to ring, the waitperson reassured us and gave us a table in the reserved area. It wasn’t long after we were seated a bottle of cold water was on our table with glasses. A comfortable time later the waitperson asked for our order. We ordered an extra hot flat white and an iced coffee with no cream but ice cream. Both were what we ordered, extra hot as well as very nice flavoured. We ordered the “Padburys Hash” substituting the bacon for pork sausages and the “Smashed that Avo” specifying the poached eggs to have the whites cooked thru with runny yoke. The Padburys Hash was excellent. The hash reminded us of breakfast in Hawaii, a big Hash of grated potatoes crispy on the outside, eggs were cooked to perfection, tasty pork Sausage and the tomato relish was yummy not too chilli hot. I recommend this one! The Smash that Avo was also excellent, lots of avocado , poached eggs cooked to perfection on sour dough bread. The waitperson came over and cleared away our plates with no fuss. Prices were very reasonable and in my opinion great value for a tasty, well portioned breakfast. The inside of the restaurant is stylish, clean and the crockery is unique giving a nice vibe to the experience. It was very busy yet the staff were excellent in timing, efficiency and service. The food was cooked as per our requests, fresh, tasty and unique. Overall I could not fault our experience and highly recommend breakfast at Cleopatras in Scarborough. I’ve mentioned specifics more than I normally do as I was reading other reviews after we left and can honestly say our experience was excellent in every way, compared to what others had written. Well done to all the staff and the chefs. One of the best in Perth...
Read moreThis nearly ruined a birthday. I would never again come here for celebrations or special occasions. We had a really long wait time and a rude lady (which I think is the owner). We ordered our lunch at 1:51. ( I know this because our orders had it stamped on a receipt). There was my family (2 adults 2 kids 8 & 4yr old) and my sisters who’s birthday it was also (2 adults 2 kids 9 & 5 yr old). The waiter took our family’s order and then my sisters right after. Our food was taking so long that our kids were getting hungry. They offered free babyccino’s. That was nice but then my family’s food arrives and not my sisters we waited over 20 minutes and because my kids were so hungry they ate, so did I but very slowly so we can eat together. 2:40 and now my sisters son is crying because he was hungry, we kept asking and getting the run around that’s it’s coming, then the lady and chef came asking what did we order and looked confused? My brother kept asking where is my drink. It was just allot of waiting. When I talked to the lady I said “it’s my sisters birthday and her son is crying from being hungry and waiting so long and watching us have our food. Instead of apologizing and making it right e.g even comp just one of the kids meal or giving a nice pastry for our celebration to make up for our very long wait. Instead she was rude, made excuses and said because the 4 babycinnno’s took so long to make and it made our order later. She also said “we should of said that we are one table so that they can put that in the order and all the food would of come together (we are in one table so that is obvious) and then they are tired and very busy (yet it was not even full).” I was just really shocked by her behaviour. She didn’t seem to have empathy just excuses. I was in awe that our family together spent a couple of hundred dollars and she wouldn’t even comp the kids meal because he didn’t eat it, instead we shared with him our kids fries so by the time his sliders came he wasn’t hungry. For me the reason it nearly got ruined was because I watched my 9 yr old nephew hiding behind his hoodie and crying and he only did it silently after we started to eat : (. The food was good but nothing could make up for such...
