Coco D’or Hair Salon — Local services in Sydney

This was my second visit to the salon, and this time I decided to go with a different hairdresser. Unfortunately, the experience was less than satisfactory for several reasons.

Results: Despite providing reference photos, the hairdresser was unable to achieve the look I wanted. There seemed to be some communication challenges that affected the outcome.

Service Interruption: During the coloring process, my hairdresser began attending to another client. While I understand the need to manage multiple clients, it would have been helpful if this had been communicated. I was left waiting without any indication of how long it would take for her to return to finish my color.

Haircut Adjustment: At the end of the appointment, it became clear that my haircut didn’t match the photos I provided. When I requested adjustments, I was met with condescending remarks and noticed eye rolls between staff members, which made the experience uncomfortable.

Colour: I had requested a root shadow, but I ended up with a full head colour instead, which was not what I asked for. The overall colour is uneven from root to the tips of hair, it’s lighter near the root and dark on the tips.

Overall, I felt that the service lacked attention to detail and consideration for my needs, and the condescending attitude of the staff was particularly off-putting. Based on this experience, I won’t be returning to the salon or recommending...

This is my second experience at Coco D'or Hair Salon, my first being around 2 years ago. Since then, I've thought that they had exceptional service and my opinion hasn't changed! My stylist (I believe her name is Jessie?) was extremely patient, gentle with my hair and thorough every step of the way. I was getting my hair coloured and highlighted and she would ask me if I was happy with the colour after each wash. I could tell that she was very knowledgable and wanted me to leave satisfied with the results of my hair and I appreciated that soso much

Got my hair done by Leah today and honestly I couldn’t be happier with how it turned out! It’s been a while since I’ve had a proper haircut and this one just hit different. The stylist totally got what I was going for, something trendy but still natural, and it turned out even better than I expected. I kind of feel like a new person 💇🏻‍♀️ Lowkey had a “Blackpink Jennie” moment not gonna lie😆

The salon itself was super cozy and had such a chill and welcoming vibe 🌸✨ Everyone there was so sweet and made me feel comfortable right away which I really appreciated. No awkward small talk, no rushed feeling, just good energy and a lot of care in what they do :)

Honestly it wasn’t just a haircut, it felt like a little reset. Definitely planning to go back...
