Read moreOh, how I very much dislike going to Chatswood… There’s just so many things that make it so unpleasant. Where do you even start? Lemme give it a go:
Okay, here goes,
Parking…. Okay this topic alone needs an entire section. Point 1. People in Chatswood believe that their car is the only car on the road or car park. This is important to understand because you need to assume that even if, and that is a big if, they see you, they haven’t (or they have but it doesn’t matter). They will proceed as if you are not there.
Point 2. Parking…. Just because the sign outside the parking station says, x amount of spaces free, there isn’t. Be prepared to go crazy driving around the parking lot with other cars that don’t see you (refer to first point above). And after you have had enough after 45 minutes or so driving around in circles having NOT found (or beaten someone to a spot) a place to park, expect to pay $8 - $20 for the privilege… because you missed the small print under the “first 2 hours free” sign when you entered that said “free only with purchase validated ticket”.
Point 3. Don’t argue with the attendant over that stupid intercom, they won’t hear you over the 30 or so other cars beeping their horns behind you trying to get out also, and believe me, they are not the patient type (refer to first point above).
Point 4. People in Chatswood walk around like they drive around (again, refer to first point above). They either don’t have any sense of common courtesy, or simply don’t give a flying (you know what).
Point 5. Lining up, refer to point 1. above.
Point 6. If you have read this far, chances are that your experience is similar to mine. Everyone else falls into point 1. above.
I only go if it’s absolutely necessary. Otherwise I would just save the stress and just head down to Macquarie Centre, and spend my time and money on shopping.
Oh… one more thing… the streets and car parks are designed for massive SUVs or big 4 wheel drive vehicles (with lots of dents).. because median strips are lane dividers are like other people, refer to...
Read moreWe went to moves Saturday night at 9 20 pm got Tickets for the Lux. We had our food served at our seat. The wrong ice cream was served and we never received our drinks we had paid with our meals. We had our two glasses of wine but they never served us our soft drinks Lemon lime bitters and Ginger ale. When we got out of the cinema the way to the car park lvl 4 (blue) was blocked the lifts to that floor were turned off, and the stairs were blocked. We had to try to find our way from lvl 6 down to lvl 4 through fire stairs, in vain as they were leading out to the street. Although we asked the Hoyts staff we were not given any correct instructions. They just pointed to an Exit door and said go through these doors which they were leading to the street. Lucky we didn't shut the fire door after us other wise We would have end up locked out. Walked back up the fire stairs and out to the 6th lever car park out the rain down the carpark ramps. When we finally got to our car we were not allowed to leave before paying $30 as the App was not recognizing our car Rego. We tried to call the operator at the carpark Exit several times but NO ANSWER.. Over all the service was poor and we felt as liability just for been there. We paid so much money for the LUX and what we get??? half of our order. Such a waste of money.. HOYTS... you need to lift your game we are not...
