I go to the big Wyn almost every day. I do have to cum all the way from northern hornsby but its worth the journey of self discovery. Each time i spread my wings and emerge into the station i cant wait to see what my next train ride will bring me. The train in the first photo is the rare and deluxe one i got to catch the other day, but the guy in the third photo was sitting on it. I was so incredibly lucky to meet my friend pablo (photo 4) who was hiding away just waiting to give me my new lighter (photo 2). surprisingly enough the lighter has my crush, genella, on it. Love this place, is literally where i sleep when i feel lonely.

After they opened the Barangaroo tunnels, straight from the station we can practically walk to Barangaroo under cover, safe from rain and weather. And that is not the full story, the upgrades themselves are architectural master piece. The only thing I would say is that the platforms are no longer wide enough to accommodate the peak hour crowd. The station has lots of shops just outside the gates, so good for some quick breakfast on the go. At the time of writing this, there are still some construction works going on, and that could only mean improvements. Plus I'm looking forward to the tram service to begin at the street level.

I love the new Wynyard! Beautiful new building with great architecture and design details. So glad they kept the wooden escalators as a very cool installation just above where they used to be installed. Also the tunnel to Barangaroo is definitely worth the walk, great architecture and a very pleasant/efficient way of getting to Kent Street and Barangaroo.

If ever there was a station that typifies the incompetence of Sydney Trains it is Wynyard. Incredibly badly managed, eg during afternoon rush hour, when 95% of foot traffic is into the station, at most 30% of turnstiles open inward, 70% outward, resulting in long, unnecessary queues to get into the station.

Add in the 19th century irritation of platform conductors blowing whistles at every commuter they see (surely a health and safety issue - it certainly irritates my ears) and you get the idea that station management are going out of their way to annoy...
