We had a 7 hour layover at GRU and found the Latam lounge to be a wonderful place to spend this time. This liung3 is located inside Terminal 3, once you clear security.
The fee is fair at $50USD per person, discounts available for dragonpass. The food options were great, both warm and cold. After a long day of airport travel, check in and flight it was nice to have a warm meal. They had salads, sandwiches, dessert, fruit and a warm food included rice, pasta and 2 options for protein.
Full bar was also available, along with water, fresh orange juice and soda. All included in the day pass. WiFi was excellent, there were computers, printer, lounge chairs, sofas, tables, electrical outlets and a kids play area all available and included. Be sure to bring the correct plug for use of outlets.
Staff was extremely friendly. They also have the plug adapters if you forgot yours to borrow. Bathrooms were clean and comfortable, showers were also available. Hand sanitizer was everywhere and gloves are readily available for serving food and drinks.
There were TVs with flight information periodically updated. Announcements for Latam flights. Outside the lounge there was a massage area for 20, 30 and 60 min massage options at reasonable prices. You can leave and return anytime. This was my first experience with a lounge and we...
Read more5 months pregnant, after first flight being delayed 1 hour from Belo Horizonte to Sao Paulo had to wait 1 hour in Sao Paulo with 3 gate changes before Latam’s 3-hours delay was actually announced. Heading to Latam’s VIP lounge, I would only be accepted inside IF it my international credit card passed using Brazilian Reais (their national currency, rather than an automatic conversion like everywhere else) which wasn’t accepted. It was accepted using US dollars in the LaTam VIP lounge in Chile, but not in Sao Paulo. I was told that they don’t accept US dollars as currency because they’d need to pay taxes and fees if they did. So what? Staff didn’t even try and I was already tired of waiting and being pushed from Gate to Gate before. Absolutely ridiculous that in an international airport "VIP lounge", a payment must only be accepted in the local currency! If the flights weren't terrible...
Read moreRecently traveled through Sao Paulo going to and from the US to Brasilia. I was absolutely happy with the top quality of the LATAM Lounge in the International Terminal. The staff were so incredibly helpful. As a Delta Diamond I was unsure of visiting another airlines executive lounge but the staff helped me set up a shower to freshen up and wake up after an overnight flight and for a long flight heading back home. The lady at the front desk asked if I had visited their club before and when I said I hadn't she walked in with me and pointed out areas that I would be interested in. The food was top notch and a lot of variety. Tons of drink options and even some great gelato for dessert. The wifi was fast and easy to use. I usually wouldn't Google Rate an executive lounge but this one was absolutely excellent. Thank you. Highly recommend...
