The GOL lounge located in terminal 2 of GRU, in my opinion, is better than the European and North American lounges. To be fair i didnt have time to go to the American Express lounge in GRU's terminal 3. variety and amount of food (buffet style), is far greater than the lounges I've been to in Europe and North America. The variety of available (free) juices, water (plain, in a bottle), beer, alcohol, and (some) wines is the most I've seen. And the quality of food and beverage is also a higher grade. Also, they make announcements (only once) about departing flight (unlike in North America), with boarding time and the gate. Now if that wasn't enough, there are between 2 and 4 showers. Also, GOL often has an actual movie theatre in their lounges, but I didn't look for or notice if there was one in the int'l lounge in GRU. Also, there are about 8 different types of chairs to match any mood. Most North American and European lounges have about 4 or 5 types of seating arrangements. And yes, in case this wasn't clear, I very much recommend the GOL lounges to anyone thinking about using them. ~ If you have any questions about travel, food, or anything else, please feel free to reach out (I'm not a travel agent, just a travel expert). Read moreThe feeling one gets from the GOL lounge is not unlike the feeling one gets when traveling to visit a friend by auto. After spending an entire day in the car, one just wants to eat and rest. But the friend who promised you could stay only has hotdogs to eat and a couch for you to sleep on. Except the couch is full of your friends friends, who you don't yet know. And all they want to do is stay up late and loudly talk to your friend, preventing you from ever getting a wink of sleep. Welcome to...
Read moreAs far as lounges go, this place was average. And not as good as the other lounges at GRU airport. The food selection was not as good as the other lounges and when I asked for a drink at 11 am they told me that the bar does not open until the afternoon. I have never been to a lounge where you could not get a drink. The front desk staff was not very proactive to help when I had an issue with the WiFi. The atmosphere is pretty nice, but I will also go to the other...
