Olive Garden is an international restaurant that only has one filial in Brazil. You can find it in the Airport of Guarulhos, which is located in São Paulo. For this reason, it's a little difficult to go there if you don't live near it.
I have a few experiences there, even so it became my favorite restaurant ever. I went there last year, when I was traveling to Italy and I had to stop in São Paulo to make a scale.
As I said, the restaurant is in an airport, so there is a lot of noise from people walking and sometimes running to take their flight. Even so, the ambience surrounding stays wonderful. They have yellow lights that match with the green colors of the walls. The air of good food is something really amazing as well, it makes you feel hungry all the time. The whole vibe is incredible!
There is also good service. The people are really friendly and try to make you feel the most comfortable possible. They are very attentive and responsible with their customers and they are fast with the request.
About the dishes, they are amazing! They give you wonderful and unique bread as an entrance, which I've never seen in any other restaurant. You can also order vegetable soup, which I always do. My favorite dish is spaghetti with shrimp, because it smells so good and the taste is wonderful. Everything smells so good and the taste is even better!
To conclude, I would like to say that, if you have the opportunity, go there! You won't regret! Everything is amazing there, I bet you will fall in...
Read moreIt was my second time at this restaurant just a couple weeks ago. The menu does not seem to have as many options as other Olive Garden restaurants in the US. But that wasn't the main issue. We were a party of 6 adults + a child and it took them awhile to clean tables to sit us. After we sat, the waiters simply forgot about us even though they were walking by serving other tables. No one bothered to ask if we we needed drinks. After a long awhile, like a half hour o so, I waved to a number of waiters until one of them agreed to come to our table. Our troubles didn't end there, though. Two of us ordered pizzas. Again, after a long time, someone from the kitchen came over to tell us the restaurant had run out of pizza dough :-( So, no big deal, we changed the order but these people need to get their act together. It is a restaurant in an airport and time is of the essence. They can't make...
Read moreFood items are very expensive and came out with small portion (look at the salad bowl below). The spaghetti with meat ball has been the worst I have ever had in an Olive Garden- the spaghetti came out tasting like uncooked and sauce was cold.
My server was away and I needed to catch my flight so I waved at the two ladies (hostess and greeter) to get their attention for my check. They stared at me and showed no interest of coming over to ask what I needed. Not a good team work to say the least. I had great experience with local restaurants in the city of Sao Paulo yet this Olive Garden's service told a different story.
Food is overpriced and tasted bad. The service simply needs improvement. It is just simply not my typical Oliver Garden experience. Not...
