We ordered a couch in April. We were told it would take 10-14 weeks. We FINALLY got the couch yesterday. The lack of communication between staff members is ridiculous and needs to be majorly improved! When we first went it, we discussed the possibility of a blue couch; however, we were still undecided until we seen the green couch in the showroom. We had met Alex upon our first visit and knew employees received commission. Still undecided, we left and discussed what would be best for our home. A few days later we called and were told Alex wouldn't be in for a few days. So we went in, explained we had been dealing with Alex and changed our minds from the Blue to a Green. We put a deposit in and ordered the couch. The lady that took our order didn't seem happy and tried to get us to come back when Alex was in. We live in Crossfield.
Weeks went by and we called Alex to get an update on the Green couch. However, he assumed we wanted the blue couch and called to cancel the green couch (which was already built and we didn't know). He told us it would still be a few weeks. We called at the 14 week mark to get another update on our GREEN couch. This is when we were told that he called the manufacturer after our last phone call and had the blue couch fast tracked. We were not impressed! When I called the manufacturer to get more of an update on our couch and to make sure the colors were actually accurate, we were told they had 2 greens picked out for our couch and the cushions. The woman from the manufacturer was awesome with communicating with us and ensure the couch would get built correctly. We didn't understand how 2 greens were picked when we only choose 1 solid green for the couch. I had asked to speak to the manager multiple times but each time, she was not available. I had called the store a few times, only to be told Alex wasn't in. I'd leave my name and number and would wait a few days before calling back AGAIN. When I called again to get an update on the couch to see if it was finished. Alex had been on vacation when the couch was ready, and yet again the store failed to communicate with the customer. After approximately 20 weeks, we now have the couch we ORIGINALLY ordered.

Read moreFirst, I like the bench we purchased. We chose the details; they had it built as asked; it arrived in store in the long, but expected, amount of time (10 weeks). However, within a year, the bench collapsed, sending my sister and her food onto my floor (she was unhappy, but not injured). As per the pictures I'm attaching, the manufacturer forgot four of the required screws; rather than attaching each leg with four screws (as required by design) they used only two. I borrowed a van and returned the bench for fixing, which they did...but it took them longer than building a whole new bench! The original bench took about 10 weeks, the repairs took more than 12. While Birchwood did not manufacture the bench, they were not very helpful through the process. It took me three emails to get the warranty information, and they originally told me that they simply can't deliver the bench back to me...which is a lie, or gross ignorance. They can and will deliver for a price, but they did not offer a price, they simply said they don't do it. When I asked that they deliver it for free, due to the inconvenience of my sister and her food being strewn across the floor, and being 12 weeks without a bench, they refused. It was unpleasant, as I do not own a vehicle large enough to transport the bench. Read moreWe had been looking for a tv table for a long time. Having trouble finding a nice style with good quality and the right wood tone. We went to birch wood and found a nice style the trouble was finding the right stain, birch wood was amazing and let us take multiple samples home to find the right one. This made all the difference the stain we were going to go with would not of matched as well.
Looking at the color samples and wood finishing techniques brushed versus the heritage planed cut? It appeared there were differences even though the salesperson said they were equal besides finishes. We also found some examples of the stain on furniture in the store to get a better idea. We went with the color that looked the best but a different finish then we thought we wanted because the color looked closer with this finish. Super happy we took our time because the tv table looks absolutely stunning the color is beautiful and it’s solid and well made. Due to covid there was a long wait 2-3 months to receive it.
