I rarely write reviews, nevermind bad ones, but when something finally warrants it, I will. I've eaten here several times, while the food is not bad, kind of over priced for dimsum, the peking duck was good.... until yesterday... When my wife, daughter and I got there, there may have been 3-4 tables including us. During our stay, there were no more than 4-5 including us. With that said, I ordered the 3 course peking duck as I always did before. This time, we got our starter soup, then.... we sat. After waiting for nearly an hour, I watched as 2 tables of new clients walk in recieve their same order, got their second courses of duck and I had to speak up. The waitress then apologized, went to the kitchen, and said its coming. When it did finally come, the duck was mostly just the skin and it covered maybe a dozen and a half pieces of meat. Normally, the duck is deliciius with generous amounts as they use a whole duck, but this time, it seems they whipped up scraps for my table in a hurry, despite their own mistake of forgetting my order while serving others their meal, despite having so few tables as well. At the check out counter, I had recieved a "$5 off any meal over $45 before tax" card which had no other restrictions mentioned, the 3 course duck was $69.99, then I put it out, suddenly, they "don't discount the duck, the card doesnt work for it." Obviously, Im already aggrevated at being forgotten, left to sit, while my 5 yr old was crying about her stomach being empty not having enough and being left for an hour after the first course, with a waitress even trying to bring us another soup forgetting they had already served our soup, and then giving us extremely small plate of duck; which as a BH worker in several positions, I will tell you was not a full duck, maybe half at best with all 3 courses combined, the lady at the counter had the nerve to complain about me not leaving any tip at all in cantonese, thinking I dont understand as they used broken english to try and explain about the card, and acted shocked when I replied in mandarin. I generally tip very well, and almost everytime even if the service lacked due to it being busy, but this really was not a scenario where anything could have warranted the piss poor service, small amount of food, and really wanted to tell them that tips are for actual decent service rendered, which they did not give, but I left them to their bs and insults in cantonese as I waited for my wife and daughter to come up so we can leave. I won't be returning here anymore as it was already pricey compared to many other places and the food was mediocre at best except for the duck but even that now has been reduced; I will definitely recommend my many friends to stay away and any patrons of thinking its worth the sacrifice for the duck? Just go inside T&T and buy a duck for $20 instead, get the shrimp crackers, go home and prep it all yourself for far less... It may be a little more bothersome, but at least you wont have to get insulted and trash talked in cantonese, by egotistical servers who over estimate their value while providing piss...

October 8th around 6pm, my friend and I decided to try out this restaurant for the first time. As I entered the establishment, I was met with an unfortunate encounter that left a lasting impression. Upon arrival, the server at the door greeted me by asking how many people were in our party, but her tone and demeanor seemed notably unfriendly. I politely replied, "Table for 2, please." She then proceeded to reach for the menus but abruptly changed her attitude when I asked if we could be seated at a table towards the back of the restaurant.
Up until this point, our conversation had been entirely in English. However, without any warning, the server abruptly switched to Mandarin and began shouting at me, "Which seat do you want, ha? You go, go, go, go, go, go get your own table!" I was taken aback by her sudden change in behavior and tone.
At this moment, my friend was still in the parking lot, and I was hesitant to proceed. Had it not been for my friend's interest in trying out this restaurant, I might have chosen to leave due to the unacceptable treatment I was receiving. The server continued to raise her voice, repeatedly urging me to "go, go, go, go, go, go, go..."
I have some knowledge of Mandarin and recognized that her tone and words were typically used to dismiss or shoo away unwanted individuals. While I understand that customer service standards may vary, I was genuinely shocked by the level of rudeness and disrespect I encountered in this establishment.
My experience at M Bistro was extremely disappointing due to the server's rude behavior. Based on this experience, I have decided not to return to this restaurant in the future. I hope my feedback serves as a reminder to the management to prioritize courteous and respectful service for...
Read moreI have eaten here a few times and it's been decent with "ok" service but my most recent visit was especially bad. Was with a decent size group of about 8 people and we ordered a good amount of food HOWEVER, we had a gift certificate to use and found that AFTER we placed our order and then mentioned the certificate the waitress came back and told us a lot of those items were "sold out". It was very difficult to believe being as many of the items were higher priced and the waitress told us after we mentioned we had a certificate. I'm sure if they were really sold out of that many items the waitresses would have known ahead of us ordering. Not to mention some of our party asked if there was peking duck prior to the rest of the table arriving and they said yes. But afterwards they said they "sold" the last one but I saw a table get peking duck 45 minutes later? So if thats true that last one took 45 minutes to prepare? Very disappointed in this restaurant and how they handled this gift certificate since it was bought and paid for, therefore should be treated at face value but it felt like they really tried to not sell us the stuff we wanted. They also mentioned we had to use the gift certificate in its entirety despite being sold out of many items. And nowhere on the certificate does it say we are limited to certain items or it has to be used in full. There definitely was no miscommunication either since most of our table spoke Cantonese yet the service was even worse than regular bad service. The food was pretty good but the way they handled this situation was VERY...
