Food was ok but pricey. It would be better if "protein" was included in a meal. When I added "protein " I expected to get meat that was noticable in the bowl which was not the case. The noodles were a bit under cooked but good once I got used to them. I had the Pad Thai with mild spice. Sauce was different from other asian flavor restaurants but not bad. I seen the special displayed on the board after I was already waiting for my meal. They deliver it to your table. When you go there ask about the special if you do not see it right away or if they haven't told you prior to ordering. The special was priced under 10$, I paid under 15$ after adding chicken to my Pad Thai. I did not order any drink as the meal was already pricey. A nice water bar is available to use, regular water as well as sparkling water for your pleasure. I got the sparkling water which I did enjoy. If you don't know if you like it, get a small amount in your glass as it can fill you up. Their recycling bins are the best I've seen in a while. You shouldn't have to throw very much if anything into the normal garbage. Everything can be recycled. I will try this establishment again a few more times. My rating could...
Read moreGreat option for the next time one is around the Deerfoot Meadows Costco - Noodlebox is located in the same strip mall. Have tried most of their menu over the years, there is nothing that we would not recommend - they have a vast array of their base dishes on the menu board and one can customize them with one's choice of both protein and heat level.
Try their Chinese Style Fried Rice with pulled pork, or their Pad Thai with chicken - and a mild/medium heat level, to test the waters - and you cannot go wrong. Or their Burmese Naan accompanied by a cilantro-curry-lime dip. Use the condiments as you deem appropriate, their chili oil infused with peanuts is a particular favorite; as are the fried onions (easy to go overboard on this one, speaking from experience).
A few years ago, they offered a spritz of either lime or lemon concentrate in a water glass; which one then topped up with either still or sparkling water - they did away with it a while ago, but would love to see them bring it back, it paired well with their food.
There is something here that is likely to suit everyone's tastes - try them out - you will likely be...
Read moreI love this place. It's an excellent Asian fusion self-seating eatery, without table service, but with dine-in and take-out options, but I would stop short of calling this a Fast Food restaurant. The ingredients are real, fresh, and unprocessed. They offer a limited menu of about a dozen noodle, rice, and soup options that act as the main base, to which you can add one of several protein options such as Chicken, Pork, Beef, Prawns, and Tofu. Finally, you can choose your level of spicy, from mild to hot in 5 gradients. The base dish has a base price, and each protein add-on is an additional cost and allows you to control just how meaty your dish is. A single protein add-on will generally satisfy most appetites. They do offer at least one gluten-free option.
Every dish here is delicious. I've tried them all. No complaints. The kitchen and front counter staff are also very upbeat and friendly.
The franchise also seems environmentally and ecologically responsible. They offer real plates and silverware for dine-in customers, and the take out containers, cutlery, napkins, and condiment containers are all made from...
