Gatsby's — Local services in Calgary

This place knocked it outta the park. Let me tell you all the things I loved.

The ambiance made it feel so intimidate and private, I couldn’t hear a word from anyone at another table, so the acoustics are well done.

Chairs are comfortable - things people in the 40+ community love. Yes, I legit look at photos to see if I’m going to be comfy.

The servers move like as efficiently and gracefully as a choreographed dancers, they are that smooth and work well together. They really made the night, I was cracking up with all the descriptions and how fun they made the night. I’ll forever be serving my house “baby turned carrots” 🤣. This place could easily be a stuffy place and it’s anything but.they actually made you feel like you were their only table, and regular!

The food is so well done. Between portion sizes and presentation the menu was so well curated.

Im sure this restaurant will have a Michelin star in the not so distant future. I recommend the 9 course dinner and that you go in before they get said star and double their prices, because yes people it’s that good. And I would pay double.

Thank you team for taking all the pressure off of us taking out a teammate to celebrate a milestone! The experience will be something we remember for years to come!

What an absolute memorable experience we've had at Gatsby's! From the moment we walked in and was welcomed by Jay to walking down the stairs of the visually stunning decor, getting seated into the perfectly placed booth, to the delicious and very well curated menu put together by Chef Asher and the amazing service provided by David and Jared, everything was absolutely PERFECT!

The smallest details was not let go, the plates for each of the dishes was very well thought out, even the "oshitori" (Japanese hand towel service) at the beginning was a very nice touch to start the exquisite meals that we were about to experience.

Cannot highly recommend this place enough. Calgary was well over due for a truly exceptional fine dining restaurant and Gatsby's can honestly take on any renowned restaurants in the world.

My husband and I were here to celebrate our wedding anniversary. We had 9-course with wines paired. It was such a blast! The aspects that I really liked are presentation of each dish, a variety of flavour palettes and well-balanced flavors throughout the course, perfect temperature for each ingredient, and kind service. The sommelier picked really great wines that were paired so well with each dish; I enjoyed it. We were super full at the end of course. The only very minor suggestion that I'd like to share though- I think it'd be lovely if the restaurant can offer a small cake/dessert with a lettering for special occasions like birthday or anniversary just to provide some additional special atmosphere to those people :) Just my thoughts based on my experiences with other similar high-end restaurants like this! They deserve a star / stars...
