This is probably one of my most visited places on campus. I use it as my "chill out" area on campus, primarily because it has so much sofas or comfort seating.
Regarding food, it really depends on your tastes. The only unique food here is Filistix, which makes the walk from HUB to SUB worth it every time because there is nothing else like it on campus. Also, there is Marco's so donair cravings can be satisfied. Otherwise, the food at SUB is fairly standard, especially given the space provided. I don't understand why Konz is wasting space...? Also, RATT is a thing and is growing in popularity, but that's more for the evening; more "sit down dining".
It's not the best place to study, TBH, because it's busy, full, loud, and condensed. But, if you're like me and like a little bit of conversation and white noise, this is great. If you want some space between others, it's only feasible in the weekends...

The services - dean of students, research advising, career advising, wellness centre, clinical and counselling, and the medical clinic, to name a few, - and the people employed for serving said services, are exceedingly more beautiful and can provide everything (except the ability to supplement insufficient will, discipline, dedication) required to redefine one's life, prospects, academic integrity. Really an impressive array of exceptional professional practitioners, supports,...
Read moreI hang out at the SUB pretty often. What I really like is the University Bookstore — they’ve got a great selection of hoodies and gear, and it’s always easy to pop in and find something comfy. I’m also a fan of the Daily Grind coffee—nothing fancy, just solid, fresh brews and a decent snack if you’re hungry ().
It’s also cool that they’ve got quiet spaces, the Horowitz Theatre upstairs, and the student advocates/info desks if you need help. Plenty of places to sit whether you’re studying or just chilling. Overall, SUB’s a solid spot on campus — functional, friendly, and packed with...
