Blackbird Studios — Local services in Hamilton

This is one of my favourite local places to shop for high quality original garments! Lyn and Kerry are wonderful local designers!

This summer I needed an extra special dress for my son's small outdoor "covid" wedding. The first place I thought of was Blackbird Studios and I was not disappointed! They helped me find the most Stunning dress! Even my mask was a blackbird original. I had so many wonderful compliments.

I know it is difficult to get out during these pandemic times so I recommend you check out their website. They have the most wonderful limited run designs in a variety of sizes. Even my mother in her early 80's has purchased pieces from the shop.

The store and staff are amazing. Not only are Lynn and Kerry fabulous designers, their fashion shows are always worth attending, unique, inclusive & one if a kind! I'd suggest bookmarking their website, and signing up for their e-mail, even if it's just to be informed about their legendary factory sales.

They've kept their website up and running, continuing to sell limited run designs, (get it before it's gone) and even pivoted to fashion forward masks, which are clearly in demand, as each time I check the website, I see SOLD OUT.

Bought a cute dress here and get compliments every time I wear it! I dunno if I just got a dud, though, because after only a few wears, I found myself having to repair a couple of torn seams. I take good care of my clothing and have had pieces that are 10+ years old. I feel like for the price I paid, I shouldn't be repairing seams so early on - it's not a difficult fix but still.
