The Judge — Restaurant in Hamilton

Came in for a few drinks each for myself and a friend, and ordered some wings as well as fish and chips.

The drinks were fine enough, if not quite dressed to my liking, so my personal peeve doesnt factor on that count-but the wings were absolutely miniscule. Laughably small. Tuesday being half price wing night I expected womething of a deal, and I recieved two clamshells barely half full of winglets the size of my thumb. Worse, I had ordered 1 of them as jerk, and the flavour was a horrendous, watered down excuse for jerk with a shadow of the flavour, soaked into gristly, chewy chicken. As someone with a Jamaican family the double whammy of tiny wingd and frankly offensive "jerk" sauce was enough to ensure I do not return. The fries offered as a side were also at an inadequate size.

Given it was half price wing night, the idea that people would oay $2 A WING for wings barely an inch and a half long, at 8 apiece, is mindboggling to me.

The Judge may have a great following and reputation but I will not be singing its praises. If you are in searc of sizable wings and in particular a decent jerk,...

Came here the other night by fluke. Just walking by and decided to go in for a drink and app with the bf and so glad we did! Service was fabulous, food was delicious and pub like atmosphere made it cozy and relaxing. It was a Sunday and they had specials on bottles of wine and charcuterie boards. I mean what else do you need?! Was attended to by Dion (I hope I got that right 😣) who really made the experience! Super personable and attentive. Owner/ Chef came by to check on us and also gave us some samples of a fruity beer (Liefmans fruitesse I believe), and I now have a new favorite drink! People... it’s been long enough that i feel safe enough to leave this. we came by in the summer. service was so bad. server was a super rude woman. that’s why i was scared to leave this. our table was crusty and dirty, white stuff on our chairs too (very sus). my partner ordered a simple burger and instead was served the most expensive one. our server dropped the food off and ran away so we couldn’t mention anything. we were charged for it. it literally tasted like nothing. i got fish and chips and they tasted like nothing as well. portions were so tiny

surprised this place has such good reviews. if u want expensive bland food and bad service...
