First point, I enjoyed the classes and the place is clean enough however the receptionists are not the friendliest around. A little stern and seems to always direct to you to the website/ or app rather than answer questions. Why do you have a phone if your going to be rude and not willing to talk to customers? We know there is a website but you need to consider people who want quick answers and not dig around your unfriendly (in terms of accessibility) site.
Second point, I had not seen a dog at the studio in the times I had gone (not many) but reading the reviews, it mentions a dog. I enquired about said dog and mentioned Iâm uncomfortable around them especially in an environment where Iâm not expecting them to be. The answer to that was, the dog will only interact if you approach it⊠now reading all these comments about the dog and how inappropriate it is to have it in the studio for many reasons (hygiene, people who scared of dogs, etcâŠ) it seems your still not listening to people/reviews.
In regards to pricing $175 for one month unlimited (no contract) there should a middle price range without rental equipment for unlimited (no contract) use as well for less than that. Not sure why GYMâs have subscriptions to being with, why not just make it...
Read moreIâve come here many times for yoga but was really disappointed with todays experience in Hannah Dorozioâs class. The room felt dangerously hot, I checked the temperature on the wall and it was at 45degrees at one point. The other students were also visibility in distress from this. After the class, I overheard that there was a problem with the heating and it couldnât be adjusted, that the previous class got up to 50degrees.
I feel that the instructor should have been transparent about this, perhaps giving a warning before the start of class, leaving the door open, or at least making students feel comfortable to leave if it became too much. This felt like intentionally placing students in a dangerous situation.
Instead she did not explain the situation and said that the heat may âbring up feelings and emotions for us, even anger.â This felt like gaslighting us for not managing the heat when she was well aware it was too hot and there was an issue with the heating.
I usually really enjoy this studio but would not take another one of her classes as I feel that safety and trusting the instructor is a really important part of the practice and her handling of this situation breached...
Read moreI recently attended a class at Modo. During the session, a teacher named Jocelyn Picard was next to me. He participated in the class like everyone else, but his behavior made the entire experience quite unpleasant. Throughout the class, he kept sighing, seemed irritated, and showed visible impatience, as if he was annoyed by having someone beside him. His attitude was so noticeable that the instructor leading the class had to intervene and remind everyone to accept having people close to them.
At the end of the session, when I stood up, he gave me a condescending look, which made me feel very uncomfortable. Since that incident, I havenât felt like returning to the center. Iâve also noticed that before each class, he places an extra mat next to his own to reserve a spot, which he removes only if no one shows up. This behavior prevents others from taking a place at the front and shows, in my opinion, a lack of consideration for others.
In short, I believe that if this teacher finds it so difficult to share space and remain patient, he should refrain from attending classes as a participant. His attitude undermines the welcoming and respectful atmosphere that the center...
