My order was excellent! But the cafe is good because of consistency issues.

Order: Vanilla Matcha Tea (Hot)

Presentation: Beautiful art on the surface and the cups look nice.

Quality of ingredients: Everything was fresh, the milk, cream, sugar, matcha, vanilla

Technique of Barista: Achieved perfect balance of all ingredients. Perfect execution of simple ingredients into a beautiful cup. Other orders, execution is acceptable but varies in quality.

Service: Warm, good, I didn't expect much. I generally don't care as long as they leave me alone. Not troublesome. Good.

Value: At 7,73$ tax included. Pricier than starbucks. But the quality is outstanding so I think it has a lot of value at its price point. Sometimes the quality may not be good at the price point so it may not have good value.

Consistency: Quality varies drastically. Not consistent. Some food tastes like dog food, others, good. Some drinks taste bland and bad and some drinks...

I frequented this cafe often a few years ago and never had a bad experience until today. I was in the neighborhood in a nostalgic mood, so I stopped by to purchase some coffee beans and I tried a lavender latte with oat milk. The lavender latte was aggressive, more specifically it felt like a lavender leaf was scratching my throat. I know this is an “earthly” place but the lavender is typically supposed to taste more subtle in latte form. While I was waiting for them to grind my coffee beans, I reluctantly asked the barista if I could change the lavender latte for something else. You’d think I asked for him to change the world as we know it. He ridiculed me for trying it and disrespectfully changed it. The details of the insulting treatment I received are too nuanced to get into but that was one of the worst customer service experiences I have ever had. But ...I have been there before and it is one of my favorite places 👍

I find it a bit noisy, in the area above the front area.

But there is a separate room that is much quieter and many people do their computer work and gather to discuss classwork.

It's a bit humid, which is not too bad in the Winter. It's very cold 🥶 in the Summer though because of the Air Conditioner (AC).

Food and drinks are mostly VEGAN (Maybe entirely vegan???)

Very calming...white decor. One bathroom which is very clean; bathroom soap is moisturizing.

Not much privacy, so don't make a scene...keep your voices low.

Casual wear: jeans, sweat shirts, hip hop wear, preppy...torn Jean pants, LGBTQIA friendly, I'm usually the only Black person there and I'm by myself-- I NEVER FEEL UNCOMFORTABLE !
