âď¸âźď¸BEFORE VISITING THIS CAFE, READ MY COMMENT CARFULLYâď¸âźď¸ One of their staff was rude and very unwelcoming. the cashier was very rude, disrespectful, and unwelcoming in her treatment and annoyed body language, as if she was going to pay my orders for me, as if she was forced to work. I asked her a question and she answered me the opposite. My question did not help me properly. I am completely dissatisfied and I reject this disrespectful, unwelcoming and unprofessional treatment and I will never back to this coffee shop again. I filed my complaint through the website and received the worst disrespectful unprofessional rude customer service in my entire life, they really a lack of respect, professionalism, and very rudeness in their responses and they really lack of genuine care of customers experience and satisfaction. Their customer service is very presumptuous, very adamant, very personalized the complaint and treated it as if it were a war against his colleague, accusing me of things I did not have because I complained to them, and with all impudence he rudely and unprofessionally asked for resolution from me as if I were customer service and not the client. Please see the screenshot of their rude and genuine careless of customer service. Their customer service communication was rude and disrespectful, and I always never continue to communicate with disrespectful people and tried to project their qualities on me in a discussion devoid of respect and professionalism. This is my rule and boundary (If there is no respect so the communication is end) and who was the one who started taking the discussion personally and accusing me disrespectfully and personally by âso presumptuous and so adamantâ. This is disrespectful and unprofessional communication and indicates a very poor level of customer service. They need courses in customer service ethics, starting with their...
Read moreThe coffee is consistently really good. Unfortunately, the service is occasionally depressingly bad. As someone who has worked in service industries, Iâm totally sympathetic to how difficult it can be interacting with customers all day. However, I find that some of the servers at this location are so unfriendly to a point that just leaves me feeling pretty bad. I definitely try to be kind to customer service people and I know itâs a weird complaint because I actually I would never want to demand that servers be friendly but the level of coldness often feels quite unwarranted. I keep coming back to the cafe because the coffeeâs very good but to be honest (and I know Iâm being a bit dramatic) I sort of dread the interactions.
Iâm certainly not of the opinion that the customer is always right, far from it. Obviously, customersâ bad behaviour shouldnât be tolerated. At the same time, I donât believe that serversâ excessive rudeness should be normalized. Most of us are losing in the class struggle, a lot of us are precariats getting ground down by a brutal system. I just think we can attempt to make each otherâs lives a little easier by remembering each otherâs humanity and exercising a modicum of kindness.
Anyway, the...
Read moreMyriade is my long time coffee home. Predating--or at least arriving on time for--the new-wave coffee scene in Montreal.
The staff is friendly, fast, and familiar. The coffee is strong, simple, and satisfying. Despite the lack of available Wi-Fi, seats are tough to find.
Even with its renowned pedigree Myriade eschews the pretensions and complexities of other coffee houses: outside your regular espresso/milk based drinks, you won't find a vast selection of roasts to choose from (usually 2-3 on a given day) or brew method options (Ask for decaf to get a Vario 60 pour). When it get's hot they have cold brew. In the wintertime the mocha is heartwarming.
My impression is that Myriade wants to be a staple in your life. You can find more exotic--and better--coffee elsewhere, but there's nowhere as good to plant your...
