Unforgettable Turkish Dining Experience 🇹🇷✨ I can’t say enough good things about this place! 🤩 I wanted to end my winter vacation in Canada on a high note, and after passing by a few times, I finally decided to give it a try. Let me tell you—I’m so glad I did! 🔥 A First-Time Turkish Food Experience to Remember 🔥 I had never tried Turkish food before, and this was my first experience. But after tasting these incredible flavors, I now want to book a trip to Istanbul just to relive this meal again! (Though first, I have a flight back to L.A. at 12 PM 🛫). 🥩 What I Ordered: • Filet Mignon Plate – Cooked to perfection, so tender and flavorful! • Turkish Tea ☕️ – Smooth, aromatic, and deeply comforting. • Kunafa 🧀🍯 – I saw it on a nearby table and couldn’t resist. It was crispy, cheesy, and soaked in syrupy goodness! 💫 Beyond the Food – Exceptional Hospitality 💫 What truly made this visit special was the warm and inviting service. The staff here are incredibly kind, welcoming, and friendly—the kind of hospitality that makes you feel at home. Even after our meal, the cashier went out of their way to recommend a nearby market so I could buy some of that amazing Turkish tea to take home with me. That level of thoughtfulness goes a long way! 🥲 Only One Regret… The only thing that made me sad? They don’t open early enough for me to grab one last meal before my flight! I wish I had more time to enjoy another plate before heading back home. 💯 Final Thoughts: This meal reignited my love for Montréal, and while I’m excited to go back to L.A., I’m already missing this place! If you’ve read this far—do yourself a favor and try this spot! You won’t regret it! 😍🔥

We first found out about this place back in October and at that time we’re very excited to try it out. We finally were able to make our way there and we’re very excited and have very high hopes for this place. We are very familiar with the Turkish cuisine, and we know how delicious they can be. However, this place definitely under performed in that aspect. We individually each had a beef Gyro and a chicken dish. However, the food was very subpar and the plates were definitely small. The price tag for each plate is on the more expensive side. The food was overly very normal and nothing too special. Beware if you come and eat here you most likely will walk out hungry. If I come back here, I will probably try the less expensive sandwiches and order two of them. We then gave a shot to the kunafah, as I am quite familiar with this desert, as I personally do make it at home and know how delicious it can be. I asked the gentleman at the cash if it is just pistachio or cheese, and he said both. When I received the kunafah, the only thing I had was sprinkled pistachios on top. I was pretty disappointed with this because the least original version one just has cheese in it. Tl;dr: expect expensive dishes that are small and quite normal, do not expect high quality Turkish food. Don’t order the knafa is it does not contain cheese.

This place is wonderful!!!! If you are a student, you absolutely should come. First of all, the food is amazing. When I took the first bite of chicken döner sandwich, a warm grill scent washed all over my mouth. Then, tomato, lettuce, onion and sauce joined in with the tender chicken, amalgamated into a cozy symphony. I love that the meat and vegetable is just the right amount for the bun. It allows the bread to be a part of the taste and not be overwhelmed. Most importantly, the sandwich is not drippy! I have never had a good sandwich that does not make a mess, so I truly appreciated it. 5/5 for the taste! Second, the cashier was great! He explained the decent student discount to us that is not on the board outside. It was $8.99 for the sandwich. To make it a trio is another $4.99. Service 5/5! Third, usually I do not care about the restaurant environment, but Mr. Tantuni is bright and welcoming. 5/5 too! I will definitely come back here, especially after overhearing another Turkish customer saying this is one of the best you can get in Montreal.

I recently had the unfortunate experience of dining at Mr. Tantuni in Montreal, and I must say it was extremely disappointing. From start to finish, this restaurant failed to meet even the most basic expectations, leaving me with a lingering sense of regret for choosing to dine there. I am surprised with all the high ratings....

First and foremost, the service was abysmal. The staff seemed disinterested and indifferent, showing a complete lack of professionalism. It took an eternity for them to take my order, and even longer for the food to arrive. The waitstaff appeared overwhelmed and unorganized, resulting in a chaotic and unpleasant dining atmosphere.

The food itself was a major letdown. I ordered their signature tantuni, hoping for a flavorful and satisfying meal. However, what I received was a bland, unappetizing mess. The meat was overcooked and dry, lacking any discernible seasoning. The accompanying vegetables seemed stale, as if they had been sitting out for far too long. It was a complete letdown and not at all worth the price I paid.

Additionally, the restaurant's cleanliness left much to be desired. The tables were sticky and unkempt, and the overall ambiance felt neglected. It was evident that the establishment lacked attention to detail and proper maintenance, further contributing to my overall dissatisfaction.

To make matters worse, the prices at Mr. Tantuni were exorbitant for the quality of food and service provided. I expected a reasonable value for my money, but instead, I felt like I was being taken advantage of. It was a clear case of overcharging for subpar food and service.

In conclusion, my experience at Mr. Tantuni in Montreal was nothing short of disappointing. The lackluster service, tasteless food, poor cleanliness, and unreasonable prices left me with a bitter taste in my mouth. I strongly advise anyone considering dining at this establishment to look elsewhere for a more enjoyable and...

This is my reply to yours: Your reply reflects how bad this branch of Mr. Tantuni is being managed. I am not interested in arguing or winning. It is not about that. You say I lost?! I did not lose anything. Its your business that is affected and you yelling at a customer in front of everyone make your business the biggest loser. This had nothing to do with school fees or whatever you mentioned so please keep it out of all this. Since you are being dishonest and have the guts of accusing people to lie here is the full story- We found a long hair that could never possibly mine or my friend’s in the salad. We politely returned the plate. We were offered another plate and we replied that we’re good as the main part was already consumed. We returned back to the table, when I believe it was you who came to us and said that everyone is wearing a cap and clearly the lady wasnt. We replied that it couldnt possibly be us. You said its from the butcher (did he prepare the salad?!?) and we replied that regardless you should take responsibility as this is your restaurant. It was over then, I was talking to my friend and you started yelling “who do you think you are, just because you paid money you cant speak like this”. I told you to mind your own business as I wasnt even talking to you in the first place. You kept yelling. I dont see how this is my loss?!?! I dont see how we were disrespectful to anyone?!? I dont see how this has to do with school fees?!?! Actually the other employee at the counter was polite, it was you who came charged up. If you were the manager of that branch I feel sorry for it for the way it is managed.

Original comment: We had hair in our food. One of the employees was very disrespectful and racist. I usually order from uber takeaway but the restaurant was filled with mosquitos. Would never...
