Caribbean Jerk Spot — Local services in Ontario

This place is a scam, they are pulling the wool over ur eyes.

They think they can get away with charging crazy amounts and giving little amounts of food because they think people don’t know better.

Came in and ordered a large curry goat meal, everywhere inside and the menu in the front says 14.50. So it was surprising when he charged me $20… I asked why the price was so much, and he claimed it’s the new menu prices… Sure maybe that’s believable, so I say ok.

He then proceeds to grab the smallest “large” container . It was literally one of those small rectangular containers u get when u buy a hot dog on the streets. He then proceeds to fill it with rice. I said no thanks, and left.

Little does he know, I am from Toronto where there is many Caribbean food spots, and they would throw a fit if they saw what this guy was trying to do.

Also the fact that my fiancé is Jamaican. I know Caribbean food and what is a fair price for the amount.

Just because I wasn’t Caribbean he thought he could charge crazy amounts, that are not the same as their menus, and then proceed to fill the smallest container known to man.

Makes me feel he probably pulls this same scam on the locals in Belleville that don’t know any better.

Shame on you.

I wanted to support you, cause I love Caribbean food and culture, But this whole interaction was very shady and scammy.

I do not recommend this spot to anyone who knows...

Visiting my bestfriend in Napanee from the Barrie area, I was raving about roti and decided to look up Jamaican restaurants near me. We had to make a trip to Belleville so chose Caribbean Jerk Spot based on the great reviews. We easily placed an order online even selecting a time for pickup and set out to Belleville. Everything was still hot when we got back home about 40 min later. It is safe to say that my friend is very impressed with our roti dinner and I am also being a Jamaican food junkie for many years. We now have more friends interested in trying it as well and will continue to spread the good word. It is clear that the owners of Caribbean Jerk Spot know exactly what they are doing in bringing their food to the public, are lovely to their customers and provide them with enough food giving leftovers for lunch the next day (we can't wait until lunch tomorrow!) All I can add at this point is Thank You so much and that we will definitely be back for more (with friends!).

PS - looking forward to trying the patty...

Was in Belleville for end of summer family trip. We try new places on every trip and this was 1 of them.

Ordered on Uber eats and food was delivered within estimated time, only wasn't what I had ordered.

Ordered: Curry Beef with rice and peas, Fish (King/Wahoo) and 2 Spicy Beef Patties.

Received: Jerk Chicken With rice, Ackee & Saltfish 1 Chicken Patty and 1 MildBeef.

REORDER: Curry Beef and Rice, Chicken Roti (Fish ordered above not available) 2 Spicy Beef Patties.

Received 2 Chicken patties and wasnt going to order a 3rd time...atleast I had Curry Beef, wife was not happy not getting fish dish that was...
