When we visit Belleville from Toronto, I always stop by here. Unfortunately for the past 2-3 visits I haven't been happy and decided to provide an update on the consistencies.
Order taker seemed rush even though it wasn't busy. The place is nice and cozy in general.
As for the food, grand total was $25.20 for a regular size chicken souvlaki dinner and a drink. Seems pricey doesn't it? You get rice, potatoes, some greens (which seems previously frozen)and one stick of chicken skewer. Now in Toronto, the exact same thing all across the city is about $17 all in. At Greek Oasis they don't give you a piece of bread like I'm used to.
The potatoes tasted kind of earthly, and the Ceasar salad, was ok. I believe it's prepacked and left in the fridge until someone orders it. That's just lazy! It effects the food quality, it had no crunch and the croutons were soggy. The rice didn't have that Greek authentic taste I'm used to like in Toronto, something was missing.
Compared to the restaurants on danforth in Toronto in little Greek town, Greek Oasis is not too bad.
I am sorry guys, do better. I dont recommend this place a regular place to visit. Maybe once or twice a year is all it deserves from me. I'm not from Belleville, I haven't searched to deep to see if there are any other home/family based Greek restaurants, which Greek Oasis seems to be and which I like, but if you're over pricing cause your the only one, good for you. 😒
Paying roughly $26 for a single plate didn't leave that WOW feeling in my mouth. Do...
Read more⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Our family had a wonderful birthday dinner at this cozy Greek family restaurant. The food was excellent – we enjoyed the lamb, chicken, baked potatoes, and fresh pitas, all cooked to perfection.
A special thanks to Kim, our server, who was kind, attentive, and patient throughout the evening. Her introduction to the family members working in the restaurant added a warm and personal touch to the experience.
The pricing offered excellent value, and the food quality exceeded our expectations. The atmosphere was relaxed and welcoming, offering a family-friendly environment without pretension or high costs.
It was also nice to see regulars picking up their orders, greeted warmly by name, which speaks to the strong sense of community this restaurant has fostered. The authentic, home-style vibe made the evening feel like dining with extended family.
Thank you to George the cook and the rest of the staff for making our celebration so enjoyable. This restaurant is a true gem – highly recommended for delicious food and a...
Read moreThere is a server with dark curly hair who is always sweet as pie. The only negative thing I haft to say about this place is on occasion there is a blonde server who works at the cash who is really rude and passive. Acts like she is being bothered or she wants to be somewhere else. I hate dealing with her. If you don't like your job I'm sure there is someone else nicer who would fill your position. If you got rid of her this place would be perfect. The food is mouth watering delicious just get rid of Debbie downer blondie. Billy I'm using my right of freedom of speech. This is my opinion. I would recommend retraining this employee and dealing with matter in house. Despite this person's status. Asking for someone to remove an observation of a problem doesn't resolve the issue. This review is based on multiple visits not just one bad day. I am not mistaken and this reply is not how someone should talk to a regular customer. I have changed my review as per your request, I hope...
