Koolini's Italian Eatery — Local services in Ontario

I'm not going to lie, as a regular order-out customer at Franco's, it feels almost like betrayal leaving this review, but I must profess, this pizza is incredible!

I work midnight's and like to spend my days off eating pizza and playing video games, and I usually order from Franco's but lately their pizza hasn't been as consistent, and the customer service has been poor on a few occasions. For example, I called them five times this morning to order this pizza, but after getting no response I decided to call their competition in a spiteful rage fueled by lack of pizza.

Let me tell you, this pizza is great! Obviously it's not going to be the best pizza you've had in your life as it's not 100+ dollars, but for party/family pizzas this is possibly the best pizza in Windsor. Look, I'm a large man who eats a lot of pizza, so I ordered their Equalizer, which seems to be the same size as the Terminator. I decided to get only pepperoni so that I could compare it to the Franco's pizza I had last Monday and honestly, there is no comparison. This pizza is way better, with no excess of crust, lack of sauce or inadequate spices. Not to mention the customer service, in which I was greeted over the phone by a very kind woman who walked me through my first order with patience, even as I called their Equalizer a Terminator 😂😂. The delivery man was also very kind, didn't even mention the fact that I either missed the buzzer or have a broken system again and he probably had to wait for someone to let him in.... Everything about this experience, especially the pizza that has now completely filled my belly, has been amazing. You have a new customer in me, that's for sure. Keep up the incredible work, and thank you!

And sorry Franco's, but it's over...

Koolinis is knows for their great catering service. I decided to order take out for the first time tonight. Everything was good until I got back home and opened the food. The lasagna was mushy, way over done and tasted like a can of ravioli instead. The pizza burger with coleslaw and fries, well let's just say the fries were the only item that was edible.  Sauce on the burger was overpowering and saturated the bun making it soggy and uneditable, the slaw was saturated in oil and smelled funny. The bruchetta bread was just that, not toasted with soggy tomatoes on top. The other 2 pasta dishes TAGLIATELLE ALLA PROVENZALE, the noodles seemed as though they had been sitting for too long. Very chewy and not much flavor at all. Very disappointing!  Was shy of a hundred dollars for dinner tonight and such a waste of money. My husband called to tell them how disappointed we were, and the owner just argued instead, asking us if we expected him to refund us for the order, assuming we ate it all. When actually dinner went into the garbage instead! I would have just brought the food back to show them, but such little care for customers we will never order from them again!!  We have a large family to feed so ordering out for us is a luxury. Looks like we will be cooking at home from now on. Would have given a zero star but google wouldn't...

Koolini is truly a 5 Star Caterer!! I hired them to cater my sister’s 50th Birthday. Leo the catering manager helped me out with choosing our menu. From the appetizers to the main course the food was so delicious, all my guests were in awe of the food choices and taste. I had 4 different appetizers ( crab cakes, smoked salmon on mini crepes, goat cheese stuffed figs and Dijon meatballs) the main course ( beef tenderloin crusted with parmesan, roasted chicken, roasted potatoes, pancetta penne ala vodka, garden salad, caprese salad and dinner rolls with butter) Everything was top notch, the tenderloins were cooked perfectly with different doness to satisfy everyone’s taste. There was plenty of food to feed another 15 persons, very generous with their portions. I don’t think I’ll ever cook again for large family get togethers, Koolini makes it so easy! I had 15 guests and cost was under $1000 after taxes and tip. Totally worth it. Thank you Leo and your awesome team and look forward to calling for our...
