GameStop — Local services in Sault Ste. Marie

If you're from a bigger city or the USA, you may be wondering why we don't have a Gamestop yet. I have been to both and I can easily say that to us in Sault Ste. Marie they are quite similar other than the color scheme. EB games has a large selection and a great variety for their size and have come a long way from the early 2000's. Now carrying T-shirts, plush dolls and all sorts of other game memoriabelia it is the favorite place of many gamers who call the Sault home. They will keep you coming back with a great rewards system and friendly staff.

Sometimes we wish we got a little more in store credit for older used games and I personally miss having two store locations. This location IS downtown in the station mall close to restaraunts and hotels though which is a plus...

So, I’ve been debating about this for a while and finally decided to say something. My family and I always stop in ( Sault Ste. Marie location) and it’s always been AMAZING service, from everyone that works there so the 5 stars are for them.

Which brings me to why I was debating. On one of our regular visits, I’m assuming that the district manager was is. I believe her name started with a K ( I’ll be polite and not say the name). Was talking to the manager, i couldn’t believe the way she was speaking to him. I was so shocked, never in my 8+ years in management would I even dare talk to my employees let alone anyone in that way. ...

Unfortunately, I must say that this time the service was not only poor but also quite rude. Never before had a salesperson told me, with a defiant attitude, that they "assumed I didn’t have something because it’s expensive"—a comment completely out of line in any customer-service interaction. What I was looking for was actually right behind her, and I ended up buying it only because my kids wanted a part for their controllers.
