I went to there store on Thursday July 25/24 and bought horseradish and two loafs of bread . The bread had no price for it on the shelf in front of it and it looked good it was STE. Anne’s bakery gluten- free on Almond milk and the other Five seed . My bill was $33.30 for three items ! Wow I thought but I paid and left the store, I live in peterborough and look at my bill and seen that I was charged $12.59 for a loaf of bread the would expire the next day , with the prices in store been far to high this price of bread it out of this world and they should be ashamed of themselves charging that much of any type of bread. I will never go to that over priced store again.

Well here’s a little bit of heaven in cottage country . Such a diverse food offering of excellent quality veggies , ace bakery breads , homemade quiche and pizza , large selection of cheeses . And never seen before Peruvian pickled sweet peppers.

The owner’s Denise and Lee are just amazing. Customer services to the roof🫶🫶. The qualities and the variety is a one stop shop. The bakery and all freshness’s or the veggies and fruit wow.

Honestly, this is my favorite grocery store. For its size, the selection is simply incredible. The produce and meats are not only fresh and often organic or free-range, but affordable. On price alone, it stands up to any foodland in the area (I’m being generous to foodland here...lots of stuff is actually less at the Market), and in quality, it holds its own against almost any organic/fine foods store in Peterborough, Ottawa or Toronto. Great olive oil and tomato sauces? Check. Great fresh sausages, steaks and cured meats? Check. Great local seasonal produce? Check. Cheese, canned goods, specialty sauces and herbs? Check, check and check. I’d like to recommend that everybody go there, but that would make it crowded, which it now never is. If you like cooking and eating good food, it does not get better, that I’ve...

It's basically a small grocery store with a bakery and deli counter. I walk here from my place every once in a while for quality grocery items. I just bought some fresh real bread, avocados, caramelized onion relish, and hungarian sausage. They were all good. I like to peruse their fine selection of preserves at the back. It's nice to have this option in addition to the Bletsoe's Foodland here in Lakefield. I'm relatively new to the village and getting to know the area and the folks here has been a pleasant experience. It's a nice place to be even in the winter. I hope more people shop at The Market so the prices stay competitive. Buy local drive less. One less car on the road is fine by...
