I had the fettuccine Alfredo with shrimp. My fettuccine had way too much olive oil. You can see in the video that I have shared that it is just sitting in oil too much parsley if you’re only using it as a garnish and Parmesan cheese, there wasn’t enough for it to be melting and good. It wasn’t even a melted. There was no extra flavor. I was just eating oil. My best friend’s plate is the photo that’s there and she had fettuccine Alfredo with chicken and she had pieces of noodles that were overcooked and she barely ate any of it and so did I. It’s actually hurting my stomach right now. I would say about 10 minutes since eating that dish and it was just sitting in oil. Fettuccine Alfredo is a thick white sauce with salt, pepper, and other flavouring and it was just two oil based for me and you can see it in the photo and video that it was actually separating While it sat so you really need to work on your sauces. I also found that there was a little bit lack of service. I found that when we sat down, it was OK we waited maybe three minutes to get a menu in five more minutes to see if we wanted anything to drink as we were waiting for my friend we waited 10 minutes to get placed our order and then to wait for the bill. We had to wait even longer and we understand that food needs time to cook, but I found that they need more service.

I'm a bit confused about the name. There is also a sign that says The Greek Restaurant. Regardless of the name, it is worth visiting. When we visited at lunch time on a summer weekday it was very busy. We didn't have to wait, but there weren't many free tables. This resulted in the only downside I experienced. The service was very friendly and helpful, but a bit slow. Only because it was busy which I understand. I had the traditional Greek salad with added shrimp and it was delicious. The small salad was definitely big enough for a lunch with the added protein. My partner had the pita souvlaki and it was small to regular sized. Both were delicious and had us planing a return trip. I recommend for a casual lunch. We were childless on this visit, but it seemed to be family friendly with a kids menu.

Very friendly servers, service was very fast. Food taste delicious portion sizes were large so if you’re going, bring your appetite. Definitely look forward to our next visit here to try out some other dishes. I had the hot hamburger with fries from the gravy to the fried onions to a perfectly seasoned burger that is homemade to the fries that are fresh cut. Would absolutely recommend this place on your way through the cottage country as a must stop in experience.

We were guests at a wedding catered by the Lakefield Restaurant on the weekend, and the food was fantastic!! Catering a large group (~150 guests) isn't easy I'm sure, but everything was prepared incredibly smoothly with a nicely presented buffet service.

The menu consisted of perfectly cooked roast beef (rolled for easy service) with button mushrooms and pearl onions. Beautifully cooked, and tender. Served with a flavourful gravy and horseradish on the side. There was also chicken as a second main dish, roasted in herbs, moist and super tasty. There was a homemade tzatziki sauce also provided, which was fantastic! The side dishes were greek-style potato quarters (one of my personal favourites), along with a mixed vegetable medley (carrots, green and yellow beans) that was well prepared (i.e. not overcooked!). To help overflow the plates there were also two salad options - Caesar and Greek, both of which were awesome!!

The evening finished with a plentiful service of dessert, along with a late night 'snack' service of prepared sandwiches and meat/cheese platters and more desserts. All were delicious!!

Overall the food was fantastic and the service staff were great. I would definitely have this restaurant cater for me, if we lived locally. Hopefully we'll have the chance to eat at the restaurant when we pass through Lakefield on a future trip.

Thanks again for a great meal, it...

It was our wedding anniversary & this place was recomended to us by a friend as a place to try. We were greeted promptly & seated on the patio. The service was quick, food quality & portions were perfect. We ordered desert & it came quickly also. You could tell by this point they were getting busier inside & outside. There was no offer to refill our drinks which were empty when desert was brought out. We finished & waited for waitress to return for 15 minutes. A young lady next to us left shortly before without a bill being brought to the table, as this was our first time here, we assumed we need to go in to pay, which I did. As we were getting in to my car, our waitress came out quickly exclaiming you need to pay! What are you doing?! I went back inside & showed them my reciept. Apparently I paid for someones take out order. It took 2 phone calls & another 15 minutes to refund, repay, etc. I dont understand why I couldn't just pay the difference? Not a good ending to our...
