This was a favourite diner for us from the first time. Quality farm fresh eggs and ingredients. We ate at Five and Dime frequently and loved the food, atmosphere, quality and price. Second last time not so good. I could taste the change from quality ingredients to mediocre. Today we stopped in and will be our last time. The food was not the same quality. My husband who EATS EVERYTHING AND ANYTHING left most of his pancakes on his plate. Mine wasn't the taste I had always enjoyed. The sandwich fell apart. Apparently the bakery they use has changed. Worse than anything. The server was rude, argumentative , and plain surly. Although I feel obligated to leave a generous tip these days. I did but won't return. A new breakfast place is opening across the street. I'll try them and other restaurants.
