We are avid "at home dough" lovers from 900 degrees- we love using their dough from Root Cellar to make at home pizzas, so when our friends came into town from the interior this weekend, one of them being gluten free, 900 degrees was our first thought.

We wanted to love it. Unfortunately, the experience was extremely short of great. There were four of us, and a 15m old. Immediately when seated we got the vibe they were not happy to have a kid in the restaurant. He was fussy, but not loud, not screaming & his mom and dad took turns bouncing him and taking him for walks outside as to not bother others. Our waiter rushed us to order. We ordered 2 pastas and 2 pizzas. While the pizzas were great, the pastas were incredibly small servings- especially for the price. Once our food was delivered, they never checked on us again (meaning we never received water refills- and our jug was empty). One waiter/staff in particular walked by multiple times giving us dirty looks, to the point that we were uncomfortable and considered taking our food to go- we would have, if anyone had ever come back to our table (but spoiler alert, they never did). This was their first time in Sidney; and their first time taking baby to a sit down restaurant, and it was incredibly disappointing how we were treated by the staff.

Totally understand that some restaurants aren't kid friendly, but 1) he was an angel while eating and 2) it's a pizza place. We want to "support local" but not if that's how they treat local families.

We will not return; and we wouldn't suggest to anyone in the future...

My girlfriend and I were highly anticipating the opening of 900 Bistro in Sidney. We went for dinner for our first time this past Saturday with a friend. We were greeted by the 'wine expert', and when we asked if they had any cider, they responded with a very condescending "No, we're Italian. We have wine and beer, and other things." Like we were stupid for asking. Very poor first contact. So we each ordered a margarita (so Italian). Our server stated that they were made with fresh lime juice. These margaritas tasted like packaged lime drink, and there was no tequila to be found in these drinks. We proceeded to order 2 pizzas (individual size at $24 each!) and our friend ordered the Caprese salad (not inexpensive at $17.50). The pizza dough was tough and chewy, the pizza itself was overly sauced and soggy, the toppings bland and strangely sweet. The Caprese salad was a tiny portion of tomatoes and bocconcini on a puddle of oily pesto sauce. Our server was pleasant, but quality checks were half-hearted. Upon clearing our plates, we were asked how the pizza was, I stated it was just OK, and not my favorite. This was met with 'I'm sorry to hear that'. And that was it. No follow-up of any kind. Food, drink and service were all poor and disappointing. For the prices they are charging, I expect more. I've worked in the restaurant business for 25 years and never write reviews, but this experience left such a bad taste in our mouths that I felt compelled to address it. Hopefully things will improve for 900 Bistro, but we will not be back...

Adrian & team have done it again!! Knocked it out of the park!! My wife and I used to frequent the Langford location when we lived closer, but now we're out in North Saanich and could not be happier that the 900 Degrees team have opened up a bistro on Beacon Ave in the heart of downtown Sidney. We thought we would give it a try last Friday night and quickly discovered that we were lucky to get in as there are a limited amount of seating in the restaurant with reservations recommended. Once seated, we were immediately greated by their resident Sommelier who is a fantastic lady who "wowed" us with not only her knowledge of wine, but in her overall ability to make our dinning experience very special. I was very impressed with the menu and the food I witnessed coming out of the kitchen. I had the "Pizza Di Manzo" and it was by far the best pizza I have ever had, and I have eaten pizza in Napoli. My wife had the Bolognese and we both agreed that it was also one of the best we have had so far. I'm excited to go back and try other items on the menu!! At the end of the day we're both very impressed with the friendliness and tentativeness of the staff, and the food & wine were excellent. Strong...

We really enjoyed the food, the menu has a lot to choose from. I settled on the carbonara and it did not disappoint. My husband had the pizza and he enjoyed it very much. Everything was cooked to perfection. Drinks are on the expensive side, I never expect his pop to cost close to what my glass of beer will cost. Great selection of beer and cocktails, I always select a nice local craft beer. I do recommend a reservation as it does get crowded fast. Tables are close together, like you're sitting with the people next to you. A touch off putting. We were seated pretty quickly and handed off to a server that could not be bothered to check on us once after we got our food. We would still return as the food is worth it.

EVERYTHING WAS SOOO GOOD except THE BOLOGNESE! 😭🥱😭 The sauce was very watery, & there wasn't much taste. I wonder if it's because they got our order wrong initially & felt rushed to get it in on time. I would've definitely rated this place 5/5 if not for the dissapointing dish. Otherwise, the wagyu tartare was absolutely delicious & worth the $30- the bread crisps that came with the dish were such an amazing texture and taste, I could have two order of that!! This is a must order if you visit. Lastly, the piemonte (pizza) was excellent as well. We paid a total of 98.38 (15% tip) & sat at their patio- very comfy and had a bit of outdoor heating

The pizza is very, very good. Premium pies for sure, like totally. But I also agree with other reviewers that the food overall is a touch overpriced (especially the escargot, which I found not worth it at all). Also, they offer a pint that is a mix of Hoyne’s Dark Matter and Fat Tug IPA - it’s an amazing combination that I’ve had there previously, but it is now listed as the 900 Dark IP-Ale (as confirmed by our waiter). I find this really odd and maybe disingenuous, as the two breweries’ products should be properly credited on the menu.
